Sports Bar VR is brilliant, waving at some floating move controllers to come have a game of air hockey and it's so real it's crazy, it still blows my mind that this shit is really in my house.

It's great! They need to improve the Move tracking a bit and introduce a way to start proper games in the Hangouts (at the moment you have to voluntarily do table etiquette if you want a game of pool outside the fixed non-hangout matches!), but it's already really fun and likely to be updated quite a bit.

I was the one who got it in very. It said December when I ordered on 4th October, but it got delivered Friday :D

I am so tempted - Do they start taking payment from when you sign up or is it from delivery date?

Presumably there is no need to sit straight on to the television when playing this? I don't have space directly in front but could sit off to the side. I assume I could just point the camera in my direction?

Correct. You can even sit an an angle to the camera and it will work, but for maximum performance I would suggest having the camera face on

So got to try one of these at the weekend (without paying! Screw you Game!)]

Bad news is that I think my eyes would be an issue. (Moderately Advanced Keratoconus). Varied from game to game, but having to demo everything and then maybe only playing some of them makes the outlay for the product too steep

Kitchen Quite a bit of jaggies. What I expected a VR game to be. Lots of stuff happening around you, good sense of place but you seem to be watch events unfold. Didn't scare me too much as you knew what it was going to do. Nice, but didn't sell anything to me.

Battlezone A complete surprise. Fast smooth movement very responsive. Way beyond how I thought VR games could be or respond. Also basically designed to torture me :P Couldn't read any of the tiny text, the cockpit "HUD" is useless [I didn't realise I had 3 weapons to the end], lots of Tron style lighting effects basically causing me all sorts of trouble with eyes. Not for me, but still very surprising.

Arkham VR Blown away by this. It's quite stationary like Kitchen (although you can move from place to place ridiculously smoothly). Immersive (people standing close either during the open or the BatComputer section) and sense of place are incredible. I leaned back from one of them. And then peering around them. Didn't have much problems with eyes on this - larger text help and ability to angle head/eyes to look at from my strongest angles really helped. Ridiculously immersive. I know it's short but a full Telltale style story would be brilliant.

A good demo order - went from "Yeah still no interest really" to "Nice, but totally not for me" to "Oh maybe....."

Impressive piece of tech (felt very polished) that was beyond expectations. Curious to see where they go with it.

Got really sweaty eye sockets while playing though

You have a year to pay, but make sure you do it in the 12 months as it's 40%apr. It was too tempting for me!

Yup - too tempting for me despite the estimate March 2017 delivery so ordered! No rush for it so will see what happens.  Also got 10% off so less than £320 delivered.

Does anyone know of a black angled USB connector that will fit in the front of the PS4?  Looking to tuck the PSVR cable around the side of the machine instead obviously.

Something like https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00MWI7TTS, but apparently some don't fit into the PS4.

Yeah the case design stops some USB drives going in properly.

i just wouldn't bother to be honest as you prolly won't find anything that's just right

So I've got Rez Infinite and Thumper, I will be getting Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Anything else I need?

Would you like to watch animal headed men have sex with a TV while a bored animal headed prostitute looks on?

Isn't that VR Worlds thing more techdemo/party game like? I did try the London Heist thing on a demo setup which was quite fun but not really the stuff I would pay money for.

I'll check out Until Dawn.

Not sure when I get a VR to begin with though, but I do hope before the end of the year.

VR worlds is an essential for me, they are short tech demo type experiences, but they are all very good quality with a lot of replayability

VR Worlds has four,  no five, games:

the London heist is a 90 min shoot em up with silly cut scenes, and six score attack shooting galleries.  plus you can smoke a virtual cigar, what's not to love!

Scavenger is a first person, in a crab machine, shooter and is a good craic.

Luge is an arcade style downhill racer, it's a bit meh.

Ocean descent is a nice way to start your VR  legs going.

Danger Ball is a decent pong game with a surprisingly addictive score attack mode.

And the menu is the best of all the games available :)

It's a great way to demo the unit to others and while the story games leave you wanting more, the score attack games give some extended play.

Oof I dunno if London heist is 90 mins - More like 30 mins, if that (ignoring the galleries).

It's a great demo of what VR an do, but it is very very thin on content.
