Oh, and I bought them so you don't have to:

The 3.99 microbe simulator I had to buy, because I am a biologist. It's odd. Very odd. The game itself is weird and annoying and the environments are sort of creepy and odd. I dunno. It's 4 quid. It's weird.

Pixel something. A shooty game. It's a bit weird as the Move is held in the angle of the grip of a gun, rather than pointing at the screen. I think it's deliberate, though it's hard to tell as the entire thing is cheap and cheerful to the point of ridiculousness. It's vaguely fun, but not very good.

Is anyone playing rigs! It's fucking sensational. Speedball with guns is the best way I can think of describing it. Fast, visceral and the ejects leave you dizzy with excitement.

Yeah, I have it. I haven't been able to put as much time in as I would like, and haven't ventured online yet, but I think it's really, really good. The sense of scale is awesome (DAT INTRO) and I love the ejection stuff. I've turned off all the comfort settings (including the FOV narrower-when-turning thing) and it's lovely.

I haven't bought RIGS because I assume the user base is tiny for an online multiplayer and finding games would take ages.

They should have adopted a similar approach to Rocket League's launch but went in the complete opposite direction. New online multiplayer IP on new hardware at full price is a tough sell.

You people made me buy Bound.

Out of interest, are other people taking breaks? I realised I've not played anything beyond about 20 mins without having a drink / snacks break, is that the norm or are people doing full on sessions?

Yeah, I take breaks between levels/races/whatever I'm doing. I tried to do Direct Assault from start to end in Rez but I took a break midway through Area 3. :)

Picked up some Amazon Basics headphones as I didn't want friends using my ear buds. And I have to say it is the best £14 I have ever spent. Got the white ones to match the PSVR and they sound bloody good (to my old ears at least) and fit really well over the headset. Nice buy if you want something cheap and cheerful. They even come with a nice soft carry bag.

I've pretty much rinsed Batman now, over about 6 hours of repeated play.  So now I need to buy my second game.  I'm thinking probably Rez or Thumper, something with some longevity.  Or maybe, just maybe, Rigs.

I loved the Thumper demo, but is there any more to it?  I appreciate it gets faster and harder, but is that all?  Are the other levels different in any way?

All this talk (strider mentioned it, once) of Rigs being a bit like Speedball has really piqued my interest.  The demo seemed really hard, though.  Maybe I'm just too old for this shit.

I played Rez to death on the DC and again on the PS3.  I wasn't blown away by the VR demo, but I never really liked that bit of the game much anyway.  Is it wonderful?

I'm not sure what portion of the demo the game is, but as you progress through the levels in the game it introduces more gameplay mechanics. Once you've understood the mechanics of the game you can go back and play the earlier levels differently.

And is it amazing?  And worth buying over Rigs and Rez?  Help me out here, man!

It wasn't released on PS3, unless you meant the PS2 version on a back-compat PS3.
