Thats the wrong demo. The VR version is called "Kitchen". Weirdly it doesn't show up when you search by name, but it is in the VR games library on PSN

I could swear people on Neogaf are claiming to be playing the first hour in VR.

You know what impressed me about DCVR last night leaning forward to look at detail in the car and it focusing. Witchcraft.

Yip, noticed this too last night.  in the A5 leaning into the steering wheel I could then read the Quattro badge.  This left me convinced that DC can step up a level with the Ps Pro.

Completed Rez last night, Area X is everything I hoped for, sublime control scheme, sound, and visuals.  I am going to play the shit out of that level.  I just cant believe how much VR elevates an experience like that.

Huh? I don't understand what you mean - is there a depth of field affect on the dash unless you look at it?

Everyone else buying more and trying different games down to VR. Ive done £105 on games since Thursday amd still want to get Eve

Snap, and ordered Eve last night, EEK!

What I noticed last night, for most games I actually prefer to stand up and play them, feels more like you are in the world, rather than sat on a seat in the world.  Obvious exceptions such as Driveclub or anything sat in a cockpit.  I stood up for Rez and straight away it just felt a whole lot better.

CEX now charging £40 for Move controllers. And you thought Sony's asking price for the twin pack was a rip off.

If only i'd seen this coming I could have paid for PSVR by buying a load of them a month ago.

Interestingly, they're not buying up any headsets. Which is a bit odd, because they take Rifts and Vives.

I think I saw them trying to punt a headset for £500 in the Sauchiehall Street branch yesterday. Not sure if I quite believed it, mind.

There's absolutely no availability anywhere near me according to the click and collect options for Argos and Curry's.

Has anyone tried playing with the balls on the main menu of the VR Worlds demo? Holy shit. Feels like you're hitting an actual beach ball (that happens to look like a ball of fire or an asteroid). Shame that they currently can't mimic hitting something as if it has actual weight to it (cos you can't get the pushback), but this is still an amazing illusion because of the vibration and positional audio. Try it.

Pretty much this. There's been discussions on the Retro Gamer forum and the general consensus is that it's just the same old games and you're doing the same old things with the ability to look around. That's obviously true to a point, but it's obviously a massive disservice too.

Everything about VR to me feels real, it feels like I'm in the game, it feels like I'm able to drive on the inside of another car in the way I never could normally, it allows me to track ships in space in a way that was impossible in the old days, it allows me to feel a sense of scale in platformers that just wasn't possible before, it elevates jump scares to a whole new level because everything is so immersive and real.

I'm excitedly waiting for the Trench Run for Battlefront (need to buy it while it's cheap) but I'm also silently dreading it because I'm worried it's going to ruin the original arcade classic for me forever. The tech is clearly in its infancy and there are compromises, but this to me is how I want to experience all games going forward and I can only wait to see what happens when developers really get to grips with the technology.

Yeah done it with all of them.

I like when the asteroid field hits the dualshock. But my fave thing to do is balance and hit bullets away on the Heist ball.

Totally agree and yeah holy shit, what are we gonna get to experience in the coming years.

Work colleague noticed me playing DCVR last night and said this morning. If there's such a graphical downgrade I dont get what the VR is adding.

Explained try it and you will know.

Just to check, there's not meant to be a Luge, Scavenger's Odyssey or Danger Ball demo? Only comes up with the triangle 'Learn More' prompt when I highlight them. No option to play.

This is correct. Just a portion of the ocean dive demo too

Must be. Just try it is all I can say

That sounds annoying though! So if you're looking straight out the windscreen (ie. neutral head forward position) and swivel your eyes down without moving your head, is the dashboard / steering wheel out of focus?

I had a curious VR moment last night. Playing Tumble; I was delicately manoeuvring a block with my arm up near my head so that the glowing ball was very near my face - I felt what I could only describe as phantom heat from the glowing ball to the point where I had to instinctively yank the Move away from my face. Crazy times.

Have the people saying these things bought a VR? I think a pretty obvious giveway for someone who has not experienced it is exactly this sort of comment.

Virtual Worlds has the best "screen splash" and title screen of any game ever.  The falling bullets have been mentioned, but also there are the matrix style bullets that go past you in slow motion which you can track as they pass you and go off into the distance behind you.  Batting the diamond around with the DS never gets old, I was disappointed you cant interact with the move controllers, doesnt seem to be a reason for that.

Tried heist in Gangster difficulty last night, not a chance, far too difficult, losing that laser pointer kills it.

also had my first disappointing thing with the VR last night.  Gave a non gaming mate a shot on Heist motorway shootout and he was totally cack handed with the move controllers, could find the bullets to load, couldnt pick up the soft drink, kept on switching hands with the gun.  Drive me mad and made me realise that perhaps this isnt as all inclusive as I had hoped.  I had to jump on straight away and try it just to check the kit wasnt damaged or not calibrated correctly, was absolutely fine.

He still declared it the best thing ever mind you!

Had this a few times, the heat ball in Virtual Worlds menu, using the lighter.

Ah man, Gangster difficulty is the only way to play.

As a Rift owner I really don't think Eve is worth the asking price, although I did get it for free. Unless you really love the core deathmatch experience, in which case you could get dozens of hours out of it. I guess it just didn't click with me....but then I have Elite in VR so that's perhaps not a fair comparison. I will shut up now!

Played it around a friend's or most likely used an occulus at one point...
