That sucks. Mine's with Yodel. They gave me an estimated time of 12-9pm but I know the driver has already gone home and they're just waiting until 9pm to pretend he attempted to make the delivery.

As soon as I found out my launch day hopes were in Yodel's hands, I'd have happily given up the £25 saved with Tesco to go with DPD instead. Less so after reading you post, though.

Another night of Overwatch it is!

Although to be fair, the Yodel driver did just turn up. Nice chap with a smile on his face, didn't throw the package at me or anything.

Just as I was finishing dinner too. The future of bulimia is here!

Like when the Rift first launched it's really fantastic to read reports from VR Virgins.

I still get WOW moments to this day...so happy to think of so many big grins and jaws hitting the floor today.

Running my own company remotely from the middle of nowhere is really a fantastic thing, but I do miss not having friends and relatives closer as one of the best things about VR is giving a demo to other VR virgins. Really, it's worth the price just for that in my mind. In a year or so there won't be many VRgins left, so enjoy blowing peoples minds while you can!

I'm so jealous of you guys loving this. I really wish I did but I just find it too blurry, to the point where I'm wondering if the problem is actually with my eyes.

Im having trouble with the tracking too. Sat in a dark room, curtains closed, but the view just suddenly keeps jumping across ever so slightly to the left or right. When I go to the camera setup on the settings menu (the one where it asks you to put your face into the three squares) I notice that the video from the camera actually keeps hitching there. So I'm wondering if it's a camera issue. Got it at PS4 launch and then pretty much never used it so it may just be that.

Tried rigs and the sensation in your stomach when you're falling is quite something. I liked the robot platformer in VR worlds but again I just found it really blurry. Nothing I've tried so far has given me motion sickness but I do find that I tire of playing stuff a lot more quickly on this. Probably not helped by the issues I have with the tracking and blurriness.

Overall a disappointing day for me :( Not sure whether to buy another camera, spend ages messing around with my setup or just give it up as a bad job.

Ooof, just had Job simulator crash on me which wasn't a pleasant experience.

It's still absolutely mind blowing to

play (when it isn't crashing). They've done a great job of scaling down the space from the Vive demo I tried earlier this year.

Was it the bit where you have to crunch the numbers on the computer? I've had it crash there three times in a row, I assume that'll get patched soon. Very disorienting though innit!

The Vive version actually dynamically scales the game to size of your play area. The PSVR version is I believe the smallest setting of the Vive game.

Rift owner here. Welcome to VR guys - I couldn't be more pleased that more people are getting that moment where you just go "this....is... (insert word to express amazement)". Let me tell you one thing - that feeling doesn't go away.

Couldn't agree with this more. I know there are some people who feel the 'wow' moment vanishes and it's a fad blah blah blah. Every time I put it on I smile. Every....fucking....time :)

OK, I can't read any more impressions without wallowing in not having a new toy. I'm off to play me some VR pinball. Maybe now, some of you who hadn't tried VR until today....will realise how immense it is to just play something like pinball on a life size table, leaning in and looking at all the glorious detail. Beautiful.

Yep, exactly that bit. They've already put out a 1.1 patch that fixes it according to their Twitter, which is nice.

Just been in Kidderminster CEX. A guy walked in with a sealed PSVR in an Argos bag. They paid £420 for it by bank transfer (gets the money in a couple of days). Nice way to earn an easy £70.   If you've got a spare because you pre-ordered two, maybe worth giving your local branch a ring in the morning.

This thing with the protective lens covers.  Are they obvious? I have not taken any plastic coating off my lenses, and yet even holding the headset under the brightest light in the house I can't see any plastic there.  I too see the viewpoint like you are looking through a fine material.  Would have imagined this is normal but reading here is persuading me I need to remove plastic lens covers that I can't even see are there to remove!

Err was he talking about the rift? If the PSVR has them then that could be a revelation.

Drive with vr and a wheel is ridiculous . It's proper proper racing . It's very fast and you do get the odd lurch when you change direction quickly . The nearest thing I can compare it to is when you are a passenger and you fully expect someone to turn left and they turn right .

Yes it's blurry , yes the graphics are turned down , but it is insanely good .

Also the the passenger seat replays are just stupendous

Yeah this is so good. I'm just looking around in every game with my mouth wide open. Not even tried Driveclub yet.

Only thing is it feels like the screen could do with one more click towards my face. It feels juuuust a tiny bit too far away. Maybe they need that gap to avoid condensation.

If you haven't thought of it yet, use a convertible if possible then stand up during the replay, feels mega!

I haven't had any tracking issues either. Steady as a rock for tumble.

And in the ocean descent thing I could walk around the whole cage thing no problem.

No sickness either! Rigs was fine on the advanced VR option. Driveclub will be the test I guess.
