I can kind of give a positive report on VR legs. I had the system day one. Played for two days straight, broke my brain and eyes and returned it on the Monday for a full refund on medical grounds.

Fast forward to Black Friday last year and I decided to have another go and take it very very gently. Tetris Effect blew me away but after a few uncomfortable experiences where it made my vision a bit weird when I was lying in bed, kind of a screen door effect on the inside of my eyelids which was horrible, I stopped using it at all of an evening. I found that if I played mid-morning (therefore at the weekend), I'd not have any issues at night. Ultimately, that limitation kind of killed how much I use it. Nevertheless, I gradually built up a tolerance though by playing for ten minutes at a time over a period of a few months and the last time I used it, I played about twenty minutes or half an hour of Astro Bot without feeling rough at all.

The only thing is that I'm just not that taken by VR, in conclusion. I find craning my neck and rotating on the couch to be distracting and tiring and sometimes physically uncomfortable. Ultimately, it's gotten nothing to do with the side effects or cables or even the visual fidelity (though I'm sure it would help once that is about twice a good). It's just not very engaging for me from a mechanical point of view. Most games are pretty simple and only generate interest with the VR elements. I have really really enjoyed the experience type stuff though and that's something I'd be interested in as the technology develops further.

Beat Saber Monstercat Music Vol. 1 is now available on the PSN store for £9.99. Or you can purchase individual songs for £1.69 each.

If you haven’t yet purchased Beat Saber there is a bundle of the game and Vol 1 for £32.99 which is saving of £2 on the combined standalone prices.

There is a link in this post to a YouTube playlist of the songs on Vol 1.

I was looking at that Summer Funland (I think it's called) but it doesn't seem to be a available in AU yet.

Saw a review this morning of The Wizards, which looked quite good.

I really want to play Beat Sabre but my games room clearly isn't big enough for it despite been over 1.5m away from screen.   When you setup the camera and it takes a photo of your head all that is fine but when I am in game with the controllers by my side the move controllers just drift everywhere as (I assume) it cannot see them.

Its a real pain because I could understand the need to be in a big room for Super Hot but with Beat Sabre you are always facing forward and I have room for that. :(

Mine works perfectly from a similar distance away. Are you sure there's not some other light sources that the camera can see that may be causing an issue?

What kind of height is the camera mounted at? (As in, knee, waist, shoulder, etc) It does seem to perform better if you can have it at around chest height where possible I've found.

As Motivater says that doesn't sound right, it sounds like a lighting issue.

When it comes up with what the camera is seeing when you start any VR game check out how much you can move around before the controllers go out of view.

I'm looking forward to playing the Wizards this weekend, I won it on Discord last night.

Littlstar now has a premium version.  I haven't got the time to check but looking at the email I just received, there's a chance they have put sideloading behind a paywall, which was the best (and arguably) only reason to use it.  There are loads of VR movie packages on PSVR (Littlstar, Jaunt, Next VR etc) and they are all rammed with very low budget, boring content. Littlstar let you rip your 3D movies onto a USB stick and watch them on your PS4 in a cinema environment.

The new features sound great - you can stream from your media server etc.  But the pricing seems a little high for what it is, and I hope they haven't ruined the free version to make the paid version a better buy.

I just never get bored of Beat Saber.

I only play 2 rounds after work, but every day heading home from work I get buzzed that I'm about to play it.

I just want some classic tunes on there.

I've gone for this. Do you know how to get 3d movies working? I'm getting two images instead of one

EDIT: Got it working. Perfect streaming 3D in a nice little cinema.

Quite possibly,  but I also discovered this 'update' when I went to watch Dredd 3D the other day. It played for 2 minutes and then stopped. Just about long enough to get past all the studio logos at the beginning.

I'd say I watch a yarrred 3D movie (not sexy times) about once a month, and while it's a great experience I'm not sure it's a $30/year experience. I see that there is temporarily a one off payment option for $40, but is the PSVR going to be current for long enough to justify that?

My other concern about paying up is that the 3D cinema star is on the wane - 3D TVs are no longer even made, so are 3D blu-rays also going to cease production in the end? Do most big budget cinema releases still have 3D versions?

I agree, it's a nice thing to have but I'm not paying a monthly subscription for it. And what a cheap trick, to remove the facility from the free version. If they'd left it all as it was, and then released a better one for £20 I'd buy it.

Has anyone heard of this ‘walking’ piece of hardware that’s coming out in May I think. Looks like one of those stepping machines. I saw it mentioned in the summer funland review

Actually was able to stream Prometheus from my PC to the PS4. Curved screen and 3D, it's really impressive. I'll keep the sub going since there's a load of 3D films out there and having a little cinema to yourself is pretty great.

I too was wondering why Littlstar started charging, literally just months after they had enabled the ability to stream VR porn...

Fair play, I hope they make their money.
