Amazon Prime Video

Finished Paper Girls over the weekend and enjoyed it for the most part but was I was happy to see the end of it. Maybe I wasn't paying attention but I was pretty confused by the end with the various factions and groups - maybe I needed to have read the comics. The cast were great though and the soundtrack was excellent - always good to hear Mother played loud.

I kind of wanted more 'culture-shock' moments with the girls and modern society vs. the 80s.  But apart from a few small bits we got none of that.

I'm sure it will be a hit though and there will be a second series.

so apparently the bond movies are going within 30 days!?!

thought amazon bought mgm and owned them now?

No Time To Eye.

Spoiler

Seems like it was a short promotional thing when No Time To Die was added. That's still on there, whereas every other James Bond film is no longer on Prime.

The Terminal List.

Terminally dull. Two eps in and I've been looking at my phone more. Charmless Pratt likes dressing as a 'patriot' soldier and constantly grimacing like he's squeezing walnuts out of his cock. Terrible to see the talented Taylor Kitsch reduced to a sidekick to this lumpen lunk.

Really poor stuff.

I've been wading through it and stuck with it mainly because of how strange it is to see a show like this now days. It really wants to be First Blood at times, but the terrorism is way too far for me to get on board with and would be amazed if there aren't some nutcases out there seeing this as their new hero. It's a bit like watching Starship Troopers but without the satire...(obviously nothing like Starship Troopers really, but you get my point).

Absolutely. The central character is beyond belief - a man who is so loyal to the Navy SEALS that he is truer and more loyal than the corrupt military itself and it's corrupt law.

It's like a manual for lone shooters and fundamentalists.

  • 3 weeks later...

Is it just me or does there seem to be a hell of a lot of films now "buy or rent" rather than included with Prime?  It's a bit of a joke.

Spiderman into the spiderverse is yet again being taken off Prime, which seems to happen every couple of months. Bit crap really.

Their apps are a complete mess with still too much other stuff mixed in with the Prime stuff. I don't know whether they still do it, but I once got caught out renting a movie only to discover it was on fucking Prime!!! Never fell for that one again. Third party apps are best for searching the Prime catalogue.

Everything everywhere... is no longer available on prime, just to rent or buy but with the thumbnail still showing as an Amazon exclusive

Weird. It's even still showing in a Prime Movies list for me, but is definitely showing as a paid only movie. I'm guessing it's a mistake.
