Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Up until recently I thought this programme was almost flawless as 25 minute low brow comedies go, but last week's UK pace episode (I think it was called just '99' - they had to cross the country after missing a flight) was atrocious. All the worst B99 clichés - Jake talking really fast all the time, slow walking in funny outfits, diversity for the sake of being diverse - and a completely nonsense plot. Sounds like the rest of the series picks up but that was the first time I thought to myself, 'this isn't all that'.

So apparently this was an outside production, being essentially run by Universal and sold to Fox. A quick trip to Netflix maybe?

NBC would seem like the natural move, as they aired all of Michael Schur's other shows, (with Netflix airing The Good Place internationally).

Mark Hamill welched after first letting us all know The Last Jedi would be terrible and that broken trust can never be forgiven, but if he and others kicking up a fuss about this actually leads somewhere then all is forgiven.

To make matters worse they cancelled this so they could revive Tim Allen "comedy" Last Man Standing. Fuck everything.

Are right wing comedy stars having a resurgence, or something?
