I loved the season two opener.

Oh don't get me wrong I loved the opener too, it was just maybe slightly lacking in the humour department. The rest has been ticking boxes on all accounts, though.

one of the main things i like about it is that it seems like effortless and swashbuckling, rick just fucks off into a portal and drags morty with no thought for his safety. im less keen when its trying to organise itself as a show or be well rounded, i like dumb stupid shit like sitting in a pub inside a step, before beating up the king whos a pedo before riding a snail down to the end and going back home because no reason.

The genius of it is that it's never "dumb, stupid shit, though." It all falls inside Harmon's 8 point story circle and THAT's what pulls it into "Best Show Evooooorrrrzzzzz" territory. It's what happens when an anarchist like Justin Roiland gets put in front of a class writer like Dan Harmon.

i know, its difficult to create, but thats how it feels to watch. it takes intelligence to write dumb stupid shit. like almost every episode has a hectic chase sequence that seems like it could go anywhere. like blasting portals into gigantic arses on a gigantic arse planet and running into them then ending up on a world full of living sofas.

Ep 7 wasn't as laugh out loud funny as previous weeks, but still so damn beautifully put together. This show has got such an endearing swagger to it.

I think I just love the way the characters talk now, like Morty telling Summer to "Get her shit together" cracked me up.

I love that Morty this series is a little more cock sure/experienced because he's been going on these adventures for ages and Summer's new to it all. Makes them have to push him extra hard to get him out of his comfort zone.

How did people get on with buying the blu ray for the first series? Anyone manage to get it region free on the cheap?

Started this about 3-4 weeks ago and pretty sure I've re watched season 1 at least 3 times now. It really is such great television. I picked up the Blu ray the other day and I'm now looking to pick up the comics, can anyone direct me to the best place to get these?

Not sure where to get the digital versions of the comic- Oni Press did have them up on the usual digital stores like Comixology but they seem to have been removed. I've no idea why- it's a shame as the comic is pretty good.

You can still by physical copies of it from your local comic book store or the Oni Press website and all the usual online places. There's a collected paperback edition of the comics coming out in November though.
