Ha, just picked up s3 and watched the Pickle Rick episode.

I can see why that became A Thing. The bits in the counsellor's office totally make it - the bits with Rick are batshit, but it's the whole package that makes it so good.

Good to see more Adult Swim stuff is coming to C4, too - it always tried to champion good animation. I just wish one of the terrestrial channels would pick up Gumball or Bob's Burgers.

Jerry learning golf with the Meeseeks or Jerry's perfect day in the simulator (My Man!). Or maybe Jerry's love affair with Gary in the memory parasite episode. It's so hard to choose. Too hard. Jerry is the pinnacle either way.

Sadly I think that the crazy heroics of Pickle Rick smashing up rats etc. is the reason that's become popular, not the bit at the end of the episode that points out that, actually, these are the actions of an emotionally dysfunctional person wilfully destroying himself to avoid facing difficult truths about himself and the world around him.

Mind you, if any show can have its cake and eat it, it's this one.

Now to avoid spoilers and wait till bloody January.

Yeah, E4's Friday night repeats are currently up to episode 9 of seasons 1 and 2, so I had assumed that once those are finished in a couple of weeks they'd go straight into season 4. But  instead it'll be on Channel 4 in January.
