No Man's Sky - Interceptor

i gave up again on survivor mode. Tried 5 planets and couldn't get to my ship; shortest distance 9 minutes, but attrition of acid or cold did me in everytime.

Looks very nice though, hope this evolves to become the Driveclub of this genre.

Cant wait to read in a few months how Davros built a base, which in many ways felt more like his real home than the one which he lives.  He has made a lovely garden outside it, and he likes to sit out there and look towards the stars, wondering if someone somewhere is sat on a deckchair looking back at him.  It is doubtful he will ever need to buy another game, as he has found his inner peace.

In 30 years time he'll still be there, except instead of peacefully tending to his science experiments, his real-life wife will have left him and he'll spend his days seeking out all life on his home planet and exterminating it to see if it can make him feel again.

(only makes sense if you watch Westworld).

No, it's not off at all.

That they, for all we know, created more footage to disprove the footage that they created that wouldn't actually happen.

Surely you'd concede that if that is the case (which we do not know for sure, yet you'd think there's some form) - that it is "A bit off".

Did you even read the link that was posted?

They provided the ASA with 4 hours of gameplay footage of the final released version, from the start of the game. They also linked to Youtube videos played by real punters, and also sent the ASA a copy of the game which they played themselves.

"As well as offer a detailed written response, it backed up its claims by providing footage lifted from a playthrough that had started at the beginning of the game and lasted for four hours, the ASA said. Hello Games also provided links to third-party footage uploaded to YouTube by No Man's Sky players, as well as a copy of the game."

Base build update. I have three aliens stationed in my base now, since they are all different races they have been well separated. I spent way too long scanning planets from space looking for a glowing flower that turned out to be in abundance on my base planet. Turns out I was wrong about portal travel, the one in your base has a list of all the space stations you've travelled back from but you can only travel from station to base (rather than station to station). It's not easy remembering which station is which after a while. Still no glass in sight or landing pad.

Location. Location. Location.

I'm having trouble finding spod...ium something. From a cactus. My guy needs it to build a science station. No clue.

2 hours vanished this evening.

That resource is in a cactus that you can mine and also interact with. You have to interact before mining it, I've found it on planets that are quite rich with life.

Well no, because the only ones that show up on the planet scan are the plentiful elements, right? There's tonnes of stuff you can collect that isn't on the planet scan. You must have found a planet full of spads. Anyway, cacti. That's probably going to mean finding a planet warmer than liquid nitrogen, because all I've had is one frozen hell hole after another, of late. Storms were -118C on the planet I needed to use to fix up my ship.

I managed to get myself a new ship on survival mode by exploiting Resonators (or whatever they're called) at a local Space station. Saved up 2.5mill and got myself a 24 slot ship. That should do for now. Went to a new planet and haven't died on it yet, although it is cold it is okay during the day, plenty of predators but naff all plutonium, which is really annoying, spending most of my time scouting around trying to find refills before flying on.

It is a whole different game, I'm not sure if you lose your cash or not when you die now, but I'm pretty sure I did when I died on foot. Best to reload from an earlier save Ireckon, it's too tough to start all over if you lose what you were carrying and your cash. I have only found one base where I tried to speak to an alien i didn't understand and didn't get anything from, and one science lab where I failed the test too. It certainly isdifficult but my interest is starting to wane... just one more go... perhaps... need to at least try and find a paradise planet.
