No Man's Sky - Interceptor

It looks like they have in fact fixed the species percentage thing, but not entirely. I can now visit new planets, complete them, and still return to and complete planets I had already visited - but they didn't fix it for any of the planets that were originally hit by the bug. So I've got six or seven worlds at 70-90% completion that are stuck at 100% (and one at 100% that I can't be rewarded for).

That's OK, it's a massive galaxy so I'll just move on and forget about those early hours of play. It's not like I can easily find my way back to those systems anyway. Ha.

I found my first extreme conditions planet, which also had aggressive wildlife - quite a few panicky sprints back to the ship on this one. Annoyingly, the system search from orbit revealed an abandoned building on the surface, which is actually underwater - no problem, I can reach it, but it hasn't got a door ><

I want to get rid of the marker, but I can't get in. Is there a different method of accessing submerged buildings?

Nope, that's it. I've been trying to play this properly all day but keep getting sidetracked. Found a planet with sac venom everywhere for one thing. Had to clear them up.

Now on a planet with creatures in a cave that has no entrances, so had to spend half an hour blasting a hole in to find and scan them, didn't I.

Fucking game.

I've been busy running 'gospvg secondhand spaceships' started the day on 30 inventory slots & finished on 41.

Had some nice small ships, the rumoured home base. I just want one of those 7 bay trading posts so I can send ships back to base when I've reapired a newly crashed ship. Really sad to lose a few of the ships I've owned.

Got two atlas stones now & on my way to another atlas checkpoint.

Still loving the game.

I've found about 50 crashed ships now, none of which have ever been as good as the ship I have. They're always one slot smaller. I have a 28 slot at the moment, which cost me 4.5m and is only the second one I've owned. Saving up around 20m for a 38-slotter.

It's a pain you can't sell your old or repaired ships.

I think at best they are only 1 slot better than what you have, but it's strange you've never seen that. It's also major faff repairing them for only 1 slot extra. I've got a few ships this way but only because they look cool.

I think that ship upgrading could do with a rebalance. I'm up to 48 slots on my suit but still at 22 on my ship (thought I had more). It takes way more effort to get a decent amount of slots on a new ship than it takes to upgrade the suit.

I have a 48 slot exosuit. But only an puny 11 multi-tool. When I get exited about finding another one they are always 10 slot. Plus all the crashed ships seem to be one slot less than my dwarfish 20 slot ship. I'm saving up for a bigger ship because the salvage grind would take me forever by the looks of it. Plus I don't want to pimp out slightly larger ship with all my learnt blueprints only to replace it soon after.

Imagine Han Solo's pockets being able to stow more than the Millenium Falcon's cargo holds!

Talking of the millennium falcon, my daughter loves the ship below it is a 48 slot so maxed out now.

When we saw it crashed on the side of a ridge, she shouted daddy look the millennium falcon !!

So I fixed it up & now we are on the atlas path to collect stones. I have 5 currently.

To those that have finished the atlas path, can I continue on the journey to the centre after completing the atlas path or does the game complete?

You can carry on after you've completed the Atlas path.

Perfect, thanks I'll crack on with collecting more atlas stones before I fuel up for the long journey to the centre.

I had a thing where the first creature I scanned on a new planet was logged with a name and everything, but didn't appear in the list of ??????? at all. I went on to find 9/10 of the empty spaces, but one was proving impossible to find. I assumed it was that first one, glitching out and not counting to my percentage. No way of knowing, but I wasn't taking the chance of staying there indefinitely on a lost cause. It was a painful decision but I just moved on to the next planet.

@gospvg, each time you load the game and want to continue on the atlas path, does the right-most option always appear on your galaxy map? The one that charts the path to the next atlas stone.

When i started the game, I lost my previous path so I had an anomoly    appeared which put me back on my path. I have the best warp drive now so just warp straight to the atlas point every time now.

I was scouring planets trying to find (extremely rare) Omegon, when I was given a tip.  Find a crashed ship with Advanced Upgrades, & take ownership even if it has less slots than your current one.  Then break down the upgrades & you'll get rare elements like Omegon, Chrysonite or Dynamic Regulators, then just go back to your original ship, transfer the elements back over & take ownership of it again.

Sure, its a fiddly process, but Jetpack Theta is now mine!
