Bought an unboxed copy of Crush Roller on CEX online for £30 the other day, it arrived today and was boxed complete with manual! Very happy as it's not an easy one to find. Great game as well.

Had some shocking experience with cex online but this was a nice one. 😎

Nice.  Could we see a picture?

I’m thinking of selling my collection. It’s not very big but there are some on games in there. Metal slug 1+2, sonic, gals fighter, snk vs capcom, puyo. Snk vs capcom card fighters and Evolution and 100% cotton (both sadly unboxed copies but 100% genuine).

it’s not like I’ll ever play them again so I’m guessing they won’t go up much more in value at this stage

If you do sell, I'd be interested in Gals Fighters and capcom card fighters. :)

How much out of interest for the lot?

I have t really tallied it up but I know some of this is worth ridiculous money. Even unboxed cotton and evo are probably £500 each or something. And unboxed last blade is worth a bit (I’m sure there are a few more like samurai showdown and KOF). Gals fighter is worth a bit too, I think… I’ll have to look at what I’ve got exactly. Shockingly, a conservative estimate would be close to £2000. Insane considering I probably purchased all that for less than £200 originally

The unboxed Cotton and Evolution might be difficult sells tbh. You'd think if somebody was willing to spend that amount of money on a game, they'd probably just want to pay the extra and end up getting them complete in box.

With my impending wedding coming soon, I think I’ll have to finally start to sell my collection too. Will make a list of what I have tomorrow and have a look at pricing. It’s all boxed and pretty minty and don’t really want to part with it 😢

Boxed wise I only have turf masters and Sam shodown 2. The latter only because it came with a machine. I’d love to box up my cart only copies of puzzle bobble and sonic but no way am I paying the inflated eBay prices. I do fancy getting a boxed copy for the first metal slug at some point though.

Yeah, don't do it mate. I posted in here already about my regret in doing similar (which is very unusual for me - no other regrets for similar spring cleans of the gaming collection). You'll regret it. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of your life.

Good luck! I have a similar (perhaps slightly larger) PAL collection all in their lovely clamshells too (I think I have all of what you have listed plus a couple more) so will be watching with interest, as I too am tempted to cash in on them as the monetary value starts to outweigh the value to me.

I always find it so hard to part with stuff though.  People talk of FOMO, but for me, fear of regret is always bigger  :(

I don’t think I miss having my collection, aside from the ludicrous amount of money some stuff is now worth. At one point I was probably trading more NGPC stuff on eBay than anyone. I had so many sealed games! It’s nice to still have a console to play the games as intended, but I’m happy to use a flash cart for the games.

You can't keep everything forever (well you can try i suppose)

These are 8 bit games in admittedly very pretty cases, but can be emulated so easily on bigger, better and back lit screens. If the money helps with your wedding then go for it.

I got rid of a huge Mega Drive collection years back (150+ CIB titles) and now have them on a single curated Everdrive cart. It's all good - and the space saving is enormous.

The only thing I miss is what they are worth nowadays, but then that's just missing out on extra cash and not the games themselves, so I know I made the right choice.

I'm sure your partner would understand not getting married if you show them how good a copy of Biomotor Unitron looks on a shelf.

Haha!! Clearly you’ve not met her!! I’m being encouraged to part with an admittedly large (and largely unplayed) collection.

@Down by Law Cheers, the money will make all the difference. Weddings are really expensive now!

So this arrived today...

image.png.100cadb0507268f9b2c3e171d638d5e3.png

I'm pretty ecstatic, not going to lie. I had a copy a few years ago but it got sold to go towards a mortgage and I was actually pretty gutted at the time... though of course it was the right decision! I'm not going to tell you how much I paid as its an embarrassing amount really, thank god for paypal pay in three.  At least i actually really enjoy the game, ill be starring a new game tonight.

It does make me feel a complete collection of Pal NGPC games is achievable though I can see big hurdles in finding box copies of Dive Alert Beckys Version (I sold a copy for £25 ten years ago ) and Pocket Reversi. The latter probably being the toughest.

Massive thanks to @The Tall Man as well, got some good titles from him recently. Top bloke. 👍

Never knew that Sonic Pocket Adventure was developed by SNK until I watched a YouTube vid. Would love a modern day remake of that.

One of my favourite Sonic games, probably my favourite handheld Sonic game next to the Advance series. They really did a great job with it.

At the time it absolutely blew my

mind. Was like having a mega drive+ in my hands. I remember picking up a NeoGeo pocket from electronics boutique as a kid, think it was with KoF R2, Samurai Showdown, Sonic Pocket Adventure and Puzzle Bobble. Knew about it from CVG and it felt like my bag, never knew what a NeoGeo was or who SNK were, but it felt like nothing I played before. Such a massive leap over the game boy. Was like playing arcade quality gaming in the palm of my hand. I don’t think any handheld system amazes me at launch since, definitely regretted selling it for a GBA. SNK

were just on fire, every game was awesome.
