Obviously pledged. This looks like a cheap £23 buy-in, but it's going to end up costing me the price of a PS4 too, innit?

And yes, I'll be playing through the original Shenmue over Christmas this year, again. Fingers crossed for snow.

Good job, all of you joining and upping your pledges. You have earned my respect and admiration.

While this is something I completely agree with, what's mostly irritating me is the opposite, i.e. all the people saying "Put sailors in it I want to look for sailors lol" or saying that the game should have a forklift section. Hooray, it's the third part of the unique, ground-breaking series that we've been waiting 14 years for! Yu Suzuki can finally complete his original vision now fill it full of cheap inappropriate nostalgia goddammit.

I wonder if 6.5 might be possible in the last hours. RAGDOLL would be awesome. They were missing in Dark Souls 2 for example and it took some of the fun away. Shenmue style combat with ragdoll would be perfectly suited for it.

Just a couple of hours to go and the kickstarter is absolutely flying - it's jumping up by a couple of hundred dollars or so with every screen refresh.

Yes, I am spending my entire Friday evening watching the final hours of the Shenmue III kickstarter in real time.

Being Shenmue and being announced on Sony's stage does remove a lot of the concern, but if it wasn't for that I'd not consider backing it. Everything that has been stated is worrying or amateurish and that is hard to ignore.

Yu Suzuki will be joined with the Shenmue 3 project members in a special live broadcast to count down the final hours as the Kickstarter project comes to a close. Scheduled to make an appearance are animation producer Hiroaki Takeuchi and main character designer Kenji Miyawaki.
