I get that you can feel the game is against you because so much can just feel like it turned against you.  I beat a player earlier on 4-3 and I absolutely did not deserve to win.  They had twice the xg, were a better player and missed at least 2 sitters 6 yards out where it somehow went wide of the post.  You have to sit and ask why.  Why did your players miss.  Why?  Was it my fault.  I certainly didn't do anything  but who do you blame?  Personally I think this randomness should be removed but ita how ea sell packs and keep people emptying their wallets. 

 

I'm not saying it's right but I can understand how people just feel the game gets on top of them.

Put a second team together for champs last weekend, and actually managed to hit Rank 4 for the first time. Not sure about Ben Yedder or Leao really. I tended to replace Ben Yedder with Vlahovic at half time, who I really like. I’m going to replace Pele with TOTS Benz now I can afford him. Definitely starting to feel like the game is done now, but at least it’s nice to try the top tier players.

It’s nice to get a special card in most packs. I abandoned playing rivals last season, so I just tend to do objectives and the weekend league if I can be bothered. It feels like they’re dragging it out longer this time. We’ll be well into the new season by the time I get 98 Ben Yedder!

 

I’m glad the Brazil cup is incorrectly tracking the number of matches rather than wins for a couple of the rewards, cos that friendly is full of total scumbags!

I’ve mostly stopped playing. Not done WL for a couple of weeks but 3 consecutive weeks without a walkout from the 125k/50k packs turned me away. 
 

i dip in for a few games of rivals Here or there. Last season played a few but not enough to get back to Elite, so this season started in Div 3.

 

The recent patch is made for new-gen and has seriously messed up old-gen. In some ways sure it’s more fun, but I can’t really be arsed fully adapting. 
 

Time to get the 23 pre-order done shortly though.

I've pretty much given up.  The problem with changes now is that I don't really want to play and its really putting me off a 2023 pre order.  This will be the first time in years I think I'm not going to bother.

I’m clearly too shit at the game to notice any changes. I notice players getting less effective over time, but that’s also relative to the quality of opponents. This was my first full year of FIFA, and I’m looking forward to ditching it for at least a couple of years. While I wouldn’t play it if I didn’t enjoy it, it does consume a ludicrous amount of time. Couldn’t do that every year.

 

Managed to complete that Brazil cup thing. The player pick options were terrible.

I've had this year off and only jumped in for 22's end game as it came onto Gamepass for free a month or so ago.  I'm exhausted already.

I think the first couple of months are easily the best! So muhc fun building a team up.

 

After that you're treading water for the rest of the year. My issue is that I won't be able to step away.

I've always liked the beginning of the cycle but this year in particular there just wasn't the need to go for all the crazy expensive players.  83 kimpembe was still a good CB in March.  Out side of the real top cards everything else was in the toilet price wise.

I don't think I've played more than 10 (I miss the old stat which used to to tell you at the top how many games you had played overall) games since Feb. I don't think it's a bad game, I just think fifas grip after all these years might be finally loosening on me.

 

Jumped on for a stint last night and I've been dunked all the way down to Div 8!

 

Even though playing the game its self has dropped off a cliff for me I've still been doing the app, the team over the last two weeks though (Like everyone elses I imagine) has gone off! (All untradable.)

 

 

I'll no doubt be back in the swing of things for the new version though, best part of the game, that initial build! But even that has lost its appeal somewhat, long gone are the days when you had to slum it with some upper 70s even for a few weeks, the good teams seem come around alot quicker the days!
