Baly is a dubious one now.  His passing was pretty poor at the start of the game, he has like 50 passing.  Now that passing including drivens have been nerfed twice i would worry about his ability to hit a ball 2 metres to a player beside him tbh.

I keep toying with doing the SBC, but I've been putting all my fodder into Varane so I'd have to pay nearly 100k to do it, and I think the only player that would get in my team is POTM Salah, which isn't exactly a huge upgrade on my red 91 Salah. Vinicius Jr would be an amazing super sub, but the chances of him dropping are minute.

 

Is anyone going to use any of the players they got from this? There's some great looking cards in there if you can get them to work.

I hadn’t expected them to increase so much. Will list a few. The chances of getting someone I can use from the SBC are very low, so the coins sound good to me!

 

The SBC is still live tomorrow, and the rewards from elite tier are pretty decent packs, so there’s always the chance I’ll have the untradeable fodder to do it

You are right. There is a lot of cards behind the curve. Even packing POTM Fofana isn’t really getting in my team. And despite my efforts to avoid gambling SBCs, this one was just such a unique and interesting one I had to roll the dice. I probably wouldn’t have done it without the fodder in the club to do so.

I’m going to give Rulebreaker Dante a try instead of mid Ferdinand. Rio has better defensive stats but Dante has high def and low att work rates which I prefer.

Doesnt look like any of us got any of the belters. (POTM cards from Ronaldo, Salah or Vinny Jnr)

 

I think the most expensive one is the Fofana pulls, my Nkunku wasnt far behind but I dont think I can really fit him into my team at the minute either. Nice option for me to have, but not worth overhauling to fit him in.

Yeah I went with Benzema POTM but he is now a super sub and potentially a powerful CAM if I ever change things up a bit. I used a lot of untradeable special cards that were gathering dust and only had to buy Bonucci I think it was to complete the SBC so wasn't too bad. 

 

As everyone has said it was a great piece of content and the king of thing they should do a lot more of.

I had Dante, he was pretty solid. I've since chucked him into one of the Varane SBCs though, I'd rate him on the same sort of level as Kimpembe (an 83 rated gold card, it's absurd just how useable he still is) and Cozza, but with them being much easier to link I had no use for Dante any more.

The thing is, once you get there it’s easier at the lower scores than 1:1. not sure it’s worth it at this point, but maybe see how the season rewards compare. Could be worthwhile making that final push to get an extra pack where the best player is Vela!

Progress update...

The new patch seems to suit me, I think mainly defensively as it stops a lot of cheap goals from corners and over the top through balls. I was hoping to get to 2,000 but fell at the last hurdle, every match is exhausting!

 

My team, which I'm generally very happy with except for the centre backs who really do need an update now. There's nothing wrong with them but I want 2 with 95+ pace and 90+ strength because there's little more frustrating than losing a foot race.

I'm not sure whether or not to do Varane. I can't get him on any more than 8 chem, and whilst he'd probably be fine, it would annoy me.

Got 1.17m saved now. If Jorginho drops below 900k again tomorrow then I’ll probably pick him up. Otherwise I’ll just keep the coins and work towards a better Mbappe or something.

 

 There’s a swap token for doing silver stars, which isn’t immediately obvious. Of course, you don’t need me to tell you that, because you’ve already done it to secure the services of the mighty MGW!

 

It does feel a bit like they’re taking the piss with the tokens this time around. SBC’s with 11 rares and 95 chem are bad enough, but there’s also one in the 84+ pick that requires 2 IF’s

No real drop in prices. I didn’t really expect too much, as I’m not sure everyone really opens their rewards as soon as they’re issued. 87 Aspas as the pick. He’s a dupe, but I should be able to get rid of him in an SBC quickly.
