Would love to know how this year compares to previous years in terms of how powerful say 100k is. Think back to when you were a kid and what you could do with a quid, but it’s like it was last week rather than 25 years ago.

 

It was indeed the Marquinhos', eventually sold for 1455000 had to list him 5 times, he was nearly 1.6million when i packed him.

 

I think coins go a lot further this year than ever before, players like Messi, Neymar and CR7 were all under 500k very early.

Toty attackers are already up on their cheapest but I suspect now squad battles rewards are out there will be fewer tradeable packs to the general public and the rest of the team will start to go up from today.  Hakimi, cancelo etc are still about their cheapest but I suspect will go up.  As always I could be totally wrong.  :)

I’ve got over 6 million transfer profit. It definitely isn’t an indication of pack luck! The only player I’ve ever packed worth over 150k was Dias last week, who is untradeable.
 

While I suppose I was lucky to get Dias, I still feel largely like I get very little. I’ve opened a lot of high value packs this weekend and all I’ve got is Insigne.

 

Got about 700k at the moment. Wondering if I might be able to pick up Jorginho before the end of the week, rather than putting coins into Varane

rewards were terrible, 6k was the highest value player in my packs apart from the TOTW pack which netted me 29k worth of discard informs.

 

i finished the base to mid icon player pick because i put dupes from the upgrade packs into the 88 and 86 rated squads thinking it had a week left, spent 100k finishing it and got Kenny Dalglish who is bloody amazing, his dribbling is so good

Found it easier to get 7 wins in Elite than in 1:1. I guess it’s probably fine if you keep a pretty low rating. Now opened all my packs and got nothing else. Unless the rivals rewards or season rewards give me anything, the TOTY dream is over

If I sold Larson and put Toty David in at cm, would the chem work out? Will also be putting Messi in at RM.

No it won’t work at least with that starting formation. It might work somehow with a different one but I can’t see it off the top of my head.

 

It is possible to add concept players on the Companion App. But Futbin is way easier. Don’t you have Futbin?

While Pants is rethinking his entire life, I'm just making everyone aware that there is another swaps token attached to the Maldini loan SBC.

 

I bought TOTY Donnarumma. Seems like a great keeper, not worth spending north of 200k on any keeper mind but I had nowhere to put my coins until I can afford either Rudiger or Dias to go along with Varane, who I only need to do an 85 squad and an 86 squad for now.

11-5 in WL. Gave the rest away. Kimmich red pick was the highlight. Tried the new Foden card at LM and he was alright but overall not worth the coins. Tried Ice Jesus (again) and found him good but frustratingly dropping deep into midfield (again). Sold up the tradeables after WL though 

 

Hit the 90 for milestone this season so will have one last pack opening bonanza on Thursday and then see what team I can throw together.

How about Winded Wildcard Sterling for Salah as your next upgrade? That card has been very good every time I d played  against him and the 4* WF upgrade and change to left foot makes that a really nice card. Thinking about giving it a try myself.

I cannot get on with any of the Sterling cards.  Mostly they are better than they have been in the last few years but lack something I can't put my finger on.  To be fair, that Salah card is great, it's the left I struggle with.

Bizarrely I tried gold Son and found him very good but tote version was not as good!

Looking at your bank balance, and assuming you're happy to chuck it all into your team, I'd suggest TOTY Hakimi on 7 chem at LB, Neymar at LW (he's the best in the game, as far as I can tell) and switching Aubamayang out for Winter Wildcard Fabinho to make the chemistry work. You could switch to a 442 to make the links work, then switch it up in game to your preferred formation.
