Different to Kane, his 90 card is used by no one ans he just ain't meta. Varanes 86 is still used by many, even at this stage imagine how bloody good he will be, no way his price will be accessible to the masses.

Well they've already given us loans of 2/3 of the attackers so sticking a midfielder in there wouldn't be an issue.

Top tip. If you don't have prime you can sub for a month, get the pack and then unsub. Charges you for a days prime.

Looks like there’s a Luke Shaw SBC incoming. While he’s probably nothing special, he might be worth picking up to pair with Varane to give some nice hybrid options.

Finished off icon swaps earlier to get 81+ x 25. Best players were gold Kane and TAA plus a few 85s and a bunch of duplicate 83 & 82 rated. 
 

Building back up slowly after using almost all of my high rated gold players in a mid icon pack. Going to start putting in some of my objective and SBC specials into them in future as I’ve got plenty of them that don’t get played much.

Hopefully we'll get a fair while to do Varane.  It's not going to be easy.  Still got my 85+ x10 waiting for the full TOTY and a few packs that should at least get me some 85+ fodder.  I've got a million in the bank, but I'd rather not spend it all on him.  Pretty low on fodder at the moment.

Kane is 30 days, Varane should be the same. A month is a long time in FIFA and as long as you gradually put all your high rated fodder into him you should be good.

PM Dest brought in using fodder and one TOTW purchase, thank you very much. Sold WW Azpilicueta for 52k aswell. It’s nice when the SBC VERY rarely drop something that is just perfect for you 🙂

Possibly a mistake?  I know these are only defenders, but the market prices look pretty low to me, suggesting high supply

Seems they are quite a high drop-rate overall and especially for defenders. I don’t think it’s a mistake. I’ll be interested to see how it plays out once they are all in packs alongside the Honourable Mentions cards.

I think the pack rates are higher than previous years. I reckon they will be revert to normal levels when the whole team is released because a lot of people have a lot of packs waiting for that. I opened all mine and packed one (Donna), and I've never packed one before prior to the end of year Futties stuff.

 

That said, I don't think we've had packs like 85x3 defenders before so maybe it's just that.

But none of us got Forwards or Midfielders, did we?  I dunno, just feels odd that suddenly we're packing the defenders.

I find that varane intersting.  He's going to be like 1.2 million in fodder going by current prices on kenny dalgliesh.  Base gold varane is like 40k and he's still really good.  i still use base varane and base kimpembe as my defensive partnership.

 

I'm not sure it's going to be worth that much as an upgrade.

I think it's about his longevity.  You can just stick him in your defence and basically keep him there until TOTS - no need to care about it any more.  I'll still try to do him.  In my attempts to fit TOTY Dias in the team, I think I'm going to go for Cancelo, Dias, Varane at the back.  Anyone care to speculate on when TOTY Cancelo might be his cheapest?

If all players are in packs at the weekend only I'd say sometime sunday he will be at his cheapest.

I had seen on a video it being mentioned it may be a full week in packs for all players.  That's different than the last few years and I don't believe it but if it is the case then they'll be cheapest on Thursday as its end of season rewards.
