It's a fluctuating experience. During the week, especially playing rivals, it plays fine. This is my baseline - when I press a button, my player does the action.

During the weekend in WL, this isn't always the case. There are some games where it's ok, but I can feel 'input delay'. 

 

It can be a little tough to pinpoint, sprinting animations for example will mean your player takes that extra step or two before passing. And while this is frustrating against an opponent good at pressing, it's not lag.

 

An example of it would be double tap passes - the lifting the ball up pass.

The game won't register the double tap, so there's a delay before the pass, then the recipient first time passes the ball when you didn't want him to.

 

Or first time passes won't register. I'll pass into a player, press the pass button before it reaches him, and he'll take a touch before passing it out. When it's really bad, it's two touches, and the pass goes nowhere near where I was aiming, due to the input being... Well random by this stage.

I've dropped him in my team at CAM and had a quick go - he actually seems very, very good. I only played one game, but he always seemed to be in a good position to receive the ball, and he's very capable of picking a pass himself. His lack of pace might be a problem at some point, and it means I've had to move Messi back out wide, but if he works out, I'd want Messi receiving the ball from him anyway, rather than the other way round.

 

I might finally be done with Fekir.

Has anyone used either Stoichkov or Nedved this year? I've got the coins to switch Bamba out for my LW, and my choices are Neymar or an icon. The stats on Stoichkov look incredible, but I'd be concerned by his 3 star weak foot.

 

Bear in mind I don't use any skill moves, so the skills rating would be irrelevant.

I’ve had Mid Nedved for a while. His 5 star weak foot is really good and he can play anywhere from LM to ST. I’ve also had baby Stoichkov for ages and I play him as the left CAM in a 4222. Shooting and dribbling are very good and I’d imagine the mid or prime would be a big upgrade on the base version I have as an untradeable. 
 

Did the 8 token base/mid earlier, got 91 Baresi which is sadly hampered by 69 pace despite some amazing defensive stats

Word on the street is we are getting a base / mid Icon Player Pick Upgrade SBC tonight or tomorrow. 
 

i finally sold my investments anyway. 100 84 rated TOTW bought for 11k and sold for 28-30k each mostly. 
 

Got 11 wins in Champs and gave the last game away. Connection was pretty dog shit in a fair few matches. Also faced 5atb in four matches, weird.

I'm very average at Fifa. Last week I decided to attempt to qualify for the weekend league. 

 

I got 18/20 points and failed... When is best time to qualify again? Is there a particular time of the week I'll have an easier run?!

You got this. Easiest Friday evening or Saturday morning.

It's so hit and miss. I qualified once since launch, they then changed it and iv qualified every week since that, sometime easily and sometimes on the last game

I assume it’s due to the increased number of tiers. I’ve had a couple of people quit (usually pretending to be about to score an own goal first), but no free wins in qualifying or weekend league for about a month. Used to get 3 or 4 when qualifying on a Friday then a few on the weekend.

Icardi card looks good value, will try him out. 

 

Not gonna touch the Icon PP though... 750k or so. Even Mid Ronaldinho is under a Million so it looks horrific value... 

I did Icardi, he's awesome. Best thing about him is that the important shooting stats are basically already maxed out so you can use chemistry to pad him out elsewhere, I've put an engine on mine. That's RTTK Fekir and Flashback Benzema both out of my team in the space of 24 hours.

Thanks for this, unfortunately when I sold up I didn't quite have enough for Nedved, so I got Neymar instead, and he's broken - so much better than Messi on the other side.

Makalele looks as good as the highest rated Kante but cheaper and offers icon links. Would also mean I can finally use the Renato that’s been sitting unused for ages. Crespo and Icardi up top would make crossing a very good option again, both have power header traits. 
 

Thoughts?
