Get the ball and while holding R1 (note, for PS4) do a fake shot while moving, just inside the opponent's half.

Tried this last night, it worked properly once out of about 5 attempts where the players actually backed off my guy. They did come back in after a while but it's a great trick to pass 10 minutes of game time at least.

I love it, score two goals and then just do it for the rest of the match. Have to keep an eye on it, because sometime those AI bastards have the nerve to tackle you after doing nothing for a while.

 

Best area I have found to do it is at the X in the opposition half.

There's also a knack getting into position - you need to pass it around until your player (preferably your fullback) only has one opponent nearby.

If anyone has some spare cash lying around, you can get cheap 50k packs (and 3 icon loans) for £4 a pop, 12 of those is cheaper than 12,000 points.

Some people have amazing teams that didnt cost a penny. If you invest time into trading as Pants has talked about you can make thousands a day quite easily.

You can have the best players in the game, but if you can't use them properly you can be taken a part by a skilled player with a meta 83 rated squad.

yep, that’s how surprise mechanics work. 
 

I haven’t even done all of the SBC’s this Fifa. 
 

vidal and one futmas challenge was all I done for futmas, I’ve not done any TOTW SBC’s, League SBC’s or upgrades. 
 

As a previously ‘highly engaged’ player as EA would call someone like me who done every possible SBC for packs and spent money on past games I’m absolutely certain they are trying to get me back into opening packs.

If you remember, I was one of the ones who theorised that happens, actually. It's just a bit of a struggle at this point to believe it happens to this extent, although I'll admit my emotions are involved. It's annoying working your arse off every weekend and not getting rewarded by the game.

I’d actually agree with Gooner about the pack manipulation. 
 

I spend money on a Fifa, not thousands but enough and never pack anything of value really. All my good players are from SBCs or bought with in game coins. Only player I’m my starting 11 that I packed was Reus. 
 

EA know I’ll keep spending money on the game, so my pack ‘luck’ is awful.

yeah, I did early on, I was trading for about 6 hours a day with the help of a friend at work, he’s got similar pack luck to you, never spent a penny on Fifa points, but had a full icon squad including Gullit, R9 and Vieira last year. 
 

We’ve both stopped trading in the last month though, mainly because the market is so volatile and we are both sat on a good number of coins, the incentive isn’t there to do the smaller grindy bits and the big trades are too risky at the moment, so we are staying liquid into Toty and will see how it pans out.

check it now @Pants McSkill it was just under 6mil, then I heavily invested just before potm Messi dropped, I was down to 300k liquid coins. Now I’m back up to 2.6mil coins and on 5.8mil profit again.

 

And all I’ve got left is my 83’s and a handful of 84 rated other than the players in my squad.

 

edit— just seen that’s weekly, well half a mil is auba and son last night, then I also got crespo from the futmas SBC that sold for 377k, and I sold off all my 87/86/85 and 84’s before Messi expired.

yeah see above, it’s heavily inflated due to me selling off the investments and the crespo/auba/son packed players.

Total: 788k... If you sold them all today and not yesterday when they were about 15% less.

Yesterday you were at 1.5m TP, so I think you must have sold Crespo before today. He was 375k yesterday.

 

 

So still over 1.1m from investments.

Which investments exactly? Because almost all high rateds are at similar levels to what they were before Messi's SBC dropped. Dusan Tadic is only 300 coins more right now.

Why didn't you sell them when Messi dropped and they all essentially doubled?

Crespo, auba and son were all sold this week. There’s no conspiracy here, I don’t have the money for Fifa points. I wish I was a secret millionaire but I’m not. 
 

I have 3 kids,  an army of nieces and nephews to buy for at Christmas, I don’t have the money for Fifa points in August let alone in December.

Modric TotYN has never been 60k. Not even close. The absolute lowest he's been, if you timed it to perfection, is 70k.

As he's 95 now, that's 20k profit after tax.

 

7 x 20k = 140,000.

 

320,000k total. You're still missing three-quarters of a million coins profit.

Toty Modric was 60/61 on bid I know because I attempted it around a 50 times to get the ones I had to flip.

 

And I’m not missing anything, I told you I sold off all my 87/86/85/84’s as well. 
 

I would happily say if I’d bought Fifa points, but I don’t have the money and I don’t want to ruin this pack luck which by chance I’ve engineered through past behaviour. 
 

Go look at anyone opening packs aside from Castro and Bateson, I know people other than @Ballzzie who go through thousands of Fifa points a week, they would kill for my pack luck.
