I had all the prem players saved anyway, so I just did it regardless. Packed Bammy and that's it, so it wasnt great, but could have been worse.

Ooof! I mean at 2M he is clearly far superior than the rest on offer.

 

It's the squad battles that put me off more than anything. I quite like the rivals challenge even if it is painful at times.

 

Ivs done the La Liga one first because that was my team and now they bloody introduce the LA Liga story player and Santa Carzola challenge. Wankers!

You can make the Squad Battles really easy if you're not bothered about getting points. Copied from Reddit:

 

PSA for those doing squad battles - you can do unlimited re-freshes, just the first 40 count for points. Only play those teams < 70 rating and like 50 chem. Sub on your good players at the beginning and it's incredibly easy still on Legendary.

 

Couple it with the fake shot stop after scoring and you can read a book as you play to make it completely stress-free.

 

(For those who don't know:

 

Score a goal.

 

Get the ball and while holding R1 (note, for PS4) do a fake shot while moving, just inside the opponent's half.

 

You won't be tackled and can drop the controller. It's a bit tetchy at times, however. Especially on Legendary.)

Im swaying more to the Mane swap as I quite like Ndidi or is Kante just too good not to have? He’s getting quite reasonably priced now. I can get either in about week.

Hes a beast! Used him to do the La Liga Swap and also as a Super Sub, hes just so good.

 

Also, thoughts on new team? I can't see much more to improve on it tbh, prob stick with until TOTY, assuming I pack anything.

I've not used Kante or Mane, but it looks on paper that Kante would have a bigger impact on your team.

You could always just buy him, try him out, then flog him if he's not much better.

Definitely wait for TotY, it's only 7 days away.

Personally, I'd be wanting a more defensive minded CM as the next upgrade. Everyone loves Roy Keane, so maybe him next?

 

And both your wingers have poor weak foots. So I'd be looking to do better on the flanks.

For the Wingers that are affordable would have to be Figo, Mahrez or Willian on the Right, Pires or Overmars on the Left unless I change ST Mbappe to LW Mbappe and then change the ST to Griezmann.

 

The CM's are ok, Zidane and Alli both have H/H attack and defense and are on Stay Back, unless I control them or choose the Team Press option.

If you swapped Vardy and Mbappe (and then Alli and Zidane), you could go Figo on the right and Mane on the left.

Had a few good games with @Timmo last night/this morning.

 

I really struggle vs the 4231 and he's very good at playing with it so I enjoyed the games and felt that I got something out of them, even though I lost 2 out of 3.

 

My issue with that formation is you can only really counter it by playing 4231 against it and when I do that I cant attack at all.

This - you really should. Get Kante in your teams.

 

Personally if you're playing two centre mids I'd have one dedicated ball winner, aim for either Kante or an icon, and then a box to box who has both ball winning and goalscoring ability, such as scream Alli/Firmino. It's an expensive position to fill for sure, shame they haven't offered Paulinho again as he's perfect for it.

I had Kante, wasn't impressed, he was too weak and was always pushed off the ball, Zidane is always hungry for the ball, strong and can score. Scream Alli is the same, but cheaper.

 

Also switched out Jay-Jay and Joao for Dembele and Semedo.
