I done the Cavani one, cost me about 15K, had to buy 2 players to get the chem up. I want the Williams one but funds are too low now. Might just buy the normal one, his stats seem pretty decent. I'm using Vardy and Rashford, sometimes Bale up front, is he any better than either of those?

Williams is a good striker for sure, but personally I couldn't cope with a weak foot less than 4* anymore. Heck even 4* annoys me sometimes. When you're in tight games of very few shots having someone like Son who can score in a pinch with either foot can make all the difference.

 

At the moment I'm tempted to throw all my coins into Mane's road to the final card, I read a rumour his weak foot is getting upgraded in January...

Why dont you try the loan williams see if you enjoy him.

Finding Kurt extremely entertaining as a Youtuber. For a bit of background, he's been banned from EA events for various controversies, leading him to now become a full time streamer/Youtuber. He's a character to say the least if you can handle his schtick.

Gunna see what my rewards are first just encase the unthinkable happens and I get something that goes into my team, but barring that, Modric is getting done! Tried his 3 game Loan, he felt awesome.

 

Saying that, 84 rated FUTMAS Sissoko is due on Monday but I'm scared of the price, it won't be cheap.

Haven't played in a week, been too busy at work.

 

Load up the game. Opponent kick off. Tackle him three times, don't win the ball. He scores a kick off goal.

 

I kick off. Pass it round as he sits 8 players in his box. Lose the ball when the game passes to a player I didn't tell it to. He hoofs it to his winger. I tackle him twice, don't win the ball. I don't intercept the pass to the striker because the game won't let me select my CB.

 

He scores. 

Turn the game off.

 

Think I'm gonna play Football Manager from now on.

I think at it's core, it will never be a good game.

 

Connection and server performance has a too big impact on the physics and collision detection to make it truly good online.

 

It's actually too popular for them to put servers in with a high enough tick rate to support what's happening on the pitch.

I know there's a few of us that get to about this point in the year and we're 'over' it, and we cross our fingers for next year.

 

But next year we have new consoles and a new game engine. Get rid of Frostbite and it may just get a lot better.

 

(I'm not quite 'over' Fifa 20 yet. Can sorta feel it coming though.)

I don't think we can entirely blame Frostbite, fundamentally there's too much happening on the pitch and the servers are a too low tick rate to keep up with that so we end up with whacky shit happening on screen because the games not synced up correctly.

 

 

The tick rate needs to be increased to 64 tick, but that has a huge overhead in terms of server compute power, currently Fifa runs at 10 tick, so every second the server gets 10 updates from the client (your console/pc) and 10 updates from the other players client, imagine if the server got 64 updates per second from the client, half the problems go away.

Debated chucking in my Lloris to this upgrade but I bought Alisson for 26.5k instead. Don't see the value in DDG, given how similar most of the top keepers are, i.e. slightly worse than Ter Stegen.

 

I have so far completed FUTmas Havertz, Guedes and Modric and the two objective players as well as the live Diego Carlos SBC.

 

Pleased to see Roussillon as an objective player and that Perisic storyline player looks nice too.

EA announced yesterday they've started rolling out changes to online servers. 

So I jumped on last night and this morning. And the gameplay was massively better. Like, massively.

 

And even though I was using a cobbled together squad to do the Rousilion objective, I won 6 in a row.

I've never won 6 in a row before.

 

Then I had a match where the gameplay was shit again. And I lost.

 

NOW CLEARLY I'm not saying the only reason I would ever lose is bad gameplay, and OBVIOUSLY there's other factors in play (like it being WL so perhaps all the players I faced were part-timers)... however it is a little vindication that whenever I moan that it's not my fault every time I lose, hey maybe it actually isn't.

 

I really hope the games play like this going forward though. It was utterly night and day.
