Another weekend league where I really shouldn't have played because time was so sparse, but I managed to get 11 wins from 14 games, which I am fucking buzzing with. Especially the last few games where the quality felt like it started ramping up. :ph34r: I really wanted 14 but I was absolutely knackered, so I made the grown up choice and wrapped early. <_<

 

To try and put into perspective how good Cruyff is, these are my club top scorers:

(To be fair Vardy, Ben and Villas numbers are a little tainted by sub appearances)

For penalties, I hold down the entire time, then pick a direction during the run up. The cursor doesn't move as erratically,  and it doesn't do that thing where it flies away from where you've been holding it if you hold it for too long.

 

Saving penalties, I always go with the direction the striker is looking. Too many people don't realise that this is even a thing and telegraph exactly where they're shooting. I've had one guy use this to misdirect me, by looking one way for ages and then actually shooting the other, but he carried on doing it even after I started diving the correct way so I still won the shootout.

 

Edit: and more generally, you should shoot left with left footers, and right with right footers. This applies in real life too, as you're natural inclination is to side foot it into the opposite side to the foot you're shooting with. The technique is more difficult to shoot the opposite direction, but that doesn't really matter when you're playing pretend kick men on a video game.

I'm pissed they don't just leave it as direction and mind games without the powering up and nonsense, it was much more fun that way. A couple of FIFAs ago I won something like 12 penalty shootouts in a row shooting every single penalty bottom right. Now you need a degree in trigonometry to keep it on target.

ive been playing pes2020 on Xbox, players appear very easy to get. Opened a special agent with the bonus you get for starting myClub and got Neymar.

EA patched this on the last update, you head will move and then after you press shoot you can move the cursor and your head won't move.

I did the Europa League guy. I had some untradeables to throw into it, plus I had invested in a few 85s at the weekend which saved me about 2k a pop on their new prices. It probably cost me about 60k to do it, and I got De Gea in one of the packs. 25k for what is already a good looking card, and one that should almost definitely get a boost to 86 seeing as Sevilla drew a Romanian team in the next round.
