i’ve currently got less than a full team, sold up Rashford, Sissoko, Werner, Sule and a few others, so currently sat on a very nice 245k.

 

Been trading nicely, made over 35k profit on Rashford. 
 

started off by flipping Ricardo quaresma for 800coins/1k profit a card.

 

Tempted to sell Fernandinho, Pepe and Alderweireld now.

What is the consensus on the most important goalkeeper stats for FUT? I’ve been using Romero as I got him as an untradeable but he’s not been the best so going to upgrade. Based on my budget, I can choose between Kepa and Leno at 84, Pickford, Schmeichel and Patricio at 83. Thoughts?

Height and then rating, I think. It's pretty subjective.

I'm liking this new FIFA now - Inaki Williams is stupidly good and pace is back - defending is so rewarding to match. Weak foot isn't such an issue now because you can either driven finesse far post (see BorrasLegend video) or just smack it near post so you don't really need to switch feet so much.

Yeah, I’ve had some good luck from SBC packs so far. Getting Martial and Pepe to use as wingers in my team much earlier than anticipated.

The final one in hybrid leagues was a bit of a ball ache. This was the solution I used. I think having one chem is essential. I had to position change Podolski and Kruse aswell which wasn't cheap.

All that money to watch me run to the halfway line shushing you after i scored 4 times.

I just don’t get it. Every year they will spend that too. On some virtual cards that are utterly redundant in a few months. I think people who spend loads on this must have addictive personalities but also something in their mentality that they have to have the newest and shiniest things and then showcase them to everyone else, kind of like people who have white rangerovers, no kids and no dogs just to be in the clique. 

 

Or just loads of money! 

 

I dont play fifa at al but watch a steamer called Bateson 87, he’s spent around £20,000 so far, but he can afford to plus I’m a bit sceptical as to where a lot of his fifa points come from

I've got my starter team, obviously. I've won 70% of my games with Japan and in division 6, straddling 5 but I've not played actually many games. 

 

However I didn't order it yet, just the EA trial. I do like a lot though. But as I've said on my twitter, I feel the tackling isn't responsive enough to lack better AI assistance. 

 

But, I am now hovering over ordering and I'll strongly consider building a more competitive team if I do.

The more I play the more I'm liking and disliking some parts.

 

The passing feels a bit off.  The player selection on passing is iffy at best.  If that's a reflection of passing stat I mind it less but I'm not sure it is.

 

It's good going forward and pushing players up is a risk Vs reward scenario.

 

I feel like if it's going to be full manual defending the player selection needs to be better. It can be difficult to actually get the defender you want to track a run.

 

The menu system is horrendous.

While the game does sometimes have issues with responsiveness I’ve been enjoying it a lot so far. Attacking is really fluid and while I’m still crap at defending, improvements are slowly coming. 

 

I’ve been populating SBCs on the companion app rather than on console as it’s much more user friendly and familiar. They’ve tried to make the squad menu look better but have ended up with a rather clunky system with the selection wheel. 

 

Got the 12000 fifa points that I won on twitter, waiting until OTW hits tomorrow in the hope that they release some promo packs for me to splash the virtual cash on

Anyone have any favourites so far? IF Benedetto was fantastic for me, but IF Benzema has completely ruined me for other strikers now - he's even better than Firmino was last year.

 

In terms of budget players, Draxler and Tolisso have both impressed - well worth a look of you can squeeze them in.

Callum Wilson has been banging in the goals, he’s really good for a relatively low cost striker. TOTW Tammy Abraham, with a style to boost his pace and shooting, has been linking well with Wilson in my team, with Josh King at CAM in behind them.

Inaki Williams is worth every coin. I'm nearly up to Div 3, I never nearly do this well early FIFA. I've also been using Morales at CAM who is ridiculous.
