Played the WL to a finish last night, ended up with 13 wins. Wish I’d had more time to space out the games, kept slipping into bad habits which normally make me have a break. Oh well. 

 

Got this guy from the Saudi SBC, looks like a monster super sub. 6’2” with 99 strength, jumping and heading. Well worth using up some of my duplicates to do.

That's who I got too Al. Played him a few times and kept getting too tempted into crossing to him multiple times and messed up my game. Squeaked 14 wins and went back to rivals for the swap player. Div 1 opponents were easier than the weekend league opponents. Maybe just cos there wasn't the same pressure but my god I'm glad to see the back of constant 3-2 defeats and having about 8 penalties saved going to the right. And not even in shoot outs.

Same on Digne. Not found it too bad, managed 3 for 3 so far. FB Kompany starts as CB then moved to CAM when game kicks off, through-balls to Ibra or Buts and goal.

 

Sod that Gomis one, sounds as much fun as pulling teeth.

Gomis is ok - handy card for SBCs - 11 Saudi players no problem from my squad, and just bring on 3 super subs at the start. Should be manageable. 

 

In other news, sad day. Sold my 88 Rijkaard. The 320k was just sat on my bench so seemed the right thing to do.

Re: Gomis, online single always has such shit connections. Doing the SIlver Only Taslica objective was the most horrendous FIFA experience  I've ever had.

Pulled a school boy error this weekend. Decided to finish Gerrard SBC, using my substantial pile of untradables.

 

Anybody else got him? Where do you play him? I am finding him a bit shit really. Which is a damn shame because I had a good thing going on with my Casemiro/Nedved CDM combo.

 

Steve G and Nedved combo isnt cutting it at all, he is fucking useless at defending, atleast Nedved has a bit of hustle, Gerard feels like a truck in comparison and he cant tackle or intercept for shit, the lanky twat.

 

I was thinking maybe I could play Nedved further forward but he isnt sharp enough for the wings, so I could play him CAM but then I have Erikson! Once I have shifted Nedved I could bring in a proper CDM or change formation and this is my new problem but now I am finding myself slipping into dangerous territory when it comes to FUT! Tinker Town. 

 

I did get Gold 2 though, which guarantees me a prem in form, I am really excited for my James Maddison card.

Cheers man, Stevies lack of pace though means he probably won't be much use out wide, I will give him a whirl at CAM. I haven't even tried him there yet, so he might be decent.

 

I didn't want to have to do Rice but I've played against him a few times and he has been pretty good! Urgh AI. 

 

In my team above, the only ones I can actually sell are Hierro, Mbappe, De Gea, the rest are all untradable, Tag is pretty good but I think I preffered my Marcelo, Ramos combo! Half the price of Hierro too!
