The game is bad, gameplay wise it’s the worst Fifa ever, simulation football games are done, it’s boring and frustrating, it needs to drop some of the finer details and do the basics better.

Think I'm going to sod Zola off and get Butragueno instead.

 

Zola's good and his Finesse shots are amazingly accurate but he just doesn't fit my playstyle.

 

He'll go to get Zanetti and I'll resell baby Carlos, not impressed with him either sadly, will replace with Marcelo.

14 games unbeaten since I brought in IF Hulk,IF  Meunier (an absolute beast of a defender) and Buffon (been more reliable at catching crosses than Neto). It’s also the first time in a while that I’ve not been using wingers, concentrating on building through the middle instead seems to leave me less vulnerable at the back. 

 

Of course, it’s going to go tits up at some stage when I’ll no doubt change things yet again...

Does look like prices are on the rise again, lowest point seemed yesterday early afternoon.

 

So my England only team really wasn't working out as I was getting battered in certain areas of the field and there was no-one to improve those positions. So I folded and sold it, and built a new team. Yet to play with it, but have built a Serie A / Prem / Bundesliga hybrid:

 

 

Will be hitting Rivals tonight. Let's hope the big shake up pays off!

Naaaa, 17 was worse, 16 was too. 18 had some serious faults too. I like this version in general.

FIFA 19 is great.  Frustrating as hell at times and that's normally down to my lack of skill. As a football simulation its excellent. Deffo my favourite version yet, and I can tell that by:

 

1) the amount of games I've played. (More than in 18 already) 

 

2) the amount of money I've spent

 

3) no broken controllers.

Passed the 2m coin mark. Will probably re-invest it all to make as much as possible during the weekend flash SBCs that I assume we're getting.

33 packs saved up too.

I generally love it. It needs more imo. Skill moves need to be more error prone and 180 passing is still too accurate. It needs to be harder!

It went... alright? Better than usual.

Got a couple of the cheaper 83s, Greard Moreno, Gilk, Baumann.

 

Then pulled this... Untradeable. 

 

 

 

I am NOT complaining. It makes my GK decision when building my team nice and easy.

No. They should have error based on player motion, balance and pressure on him. Otherwise you can skip through easily. They are overpowered.

Immobile IF is the best striker I've played with in the game so far. Tall, strong, speedy and with great finishing.

 

Also having a good goalkeeper makes such a big difference.

I'm a bit baffled by this... For example you might see an outside the box sidefoot goal into the top corner once a month on match of the day, FIFA 19 might as well be called Twenty Yard Finesse 19.

 

There's so many ways it fails as a simulation in my opinion.

To be fair it's 90 mins squashed down to 12. It's about a simulation based as you're ever going to get.

No offence to the guys enjoying it, but most of you are playing in division 5 with around 1500 skill rating.

 

If you play vs top players who can exploit all of the games failings then you would hate the game just as much as I am.

 

Im about 1 win and a draw off division 2 now, when I play somebody at the higher end of my skill rating bracket I can work 2 or 3 goals only for them to score kick off equalisers and first time finesse shots even post patch.

 

Skill moves are pointless unless you’re playing a guy who manually defends, so at the top end of the skill rating that’s nobody.

 

The game is rubbish, it’s the worst Fifa since they took it to a sim style instead of arcade style.

It's weird how some people love certain players that others just can't get on with.  I hated him!  I think Mertens is better.  Or for a big lump who can score, I think I rate Higuain more.  I rarely cross though, so maybe that's why.

 

It's odd, in '17/'18 I couldn't get enough of Icardi, but I can't get on with him in '19.  All of his shots just seemed to do this:  https://streamable.com/mmztv

To be fair, when you've got 10 million people playing, you're always going to get those that find exploits. And to suggest only the elite get shit stuff happen is a little condescending. I dominate majority of my matches and constantly get shit on with things like rebound goals. It's just the nature of a game as complex as this. I can either accept it and enjoy it for what it is or move on.

I think it's because I play with a sole striker and a LF / RF supporting, Immobile fits my style of play perfectly. Higuain was great when I used him too. Mertens is unfortunately too weak for playing a sole striker, for me anyway. 

 

Icardi was my go to striker for '18 too! Was so bloody good. But like you, did not rate him when I used him in 19. If he gets another IF, I'm sure I'll pick him up though.
