I am on LAN. My internet just decided to be shit. 

And so did my GK in 92 mins. 

 

 

Really deflated tbh. The last guy was shit. I lead with 20 mins to go. Failed to be able to clear when literally 4 of my players were around the ball. The resulting FK was played short and fast. I couldn't get the defender I needed to even attempt a block. Literally lost the last game because of two goals I had no control over.

I'm with Timmo. 

Well not right next to him, I'm standing about 10 feet away because with his luck, a piano could fall on his head at any moment.

 

Having given WL a break, I instead got sucked in by that Johnathan Tah reward and have 10 rivals wins from about 25 games this weekend.

Unfortunately I only managed to score with Bundesliga players in two of those victories, so I have a loooooooong way to go yet.

I opened one 45k pack, my new theory is that EA are monitoring all the games we play, I didn’t play champs this weekend and PES2019 was on a f2p weekend on Xbox so I played that, come back on an load Fifa open one pack and put pops Messi.

 

the other day the same happened with Dybala after I’d deleted fifa19 and reinstalled it after a day.

 

ive had good pack luck before, but I’ve packed Neymar and Messi on 19, I opened thousands of packs across all the previous FIFA’s and never packed a Messi Ronaldo or Neymar and I’ve packed 2 of them so far, but this is the lowest my engagement of the game has been in all my years of fut, even previously in earlier ultimate teams I didn’t play Fut so much but was always playing Fifa.

Woah there tiger. No need to get so defensive. Literally the only accusation levelled at you is that you open more packs than most of us in here - and even that was a simple suggestion.

 

Your pack pulls far outstrip anyone else in this thread, as they have done for every iteration of Fifa. It would be great to figure out why, so that we can all enjoy the wealth. So far we have three explanations:

 

 

1) You are really, really, really, really lucky. Your lucky streak has lasted four years and defies all RNG algorithms.

 

2) A deep and complex theory that pre-supposes EA monitor and record all you activity on Fifa, and somehow also outside of Fifa, specifically on it's main competition, PES. EA then use this data and plug it through some sort of behavioural personality program to decide the exact timing to gift you a wondrous pack pull, preying on your addiction, triggering neural pathways & dopamine hits and in turn, keeping you plying the game longer. One would presume they run this on all customers across all platforms, but we're the first players ever to notice the correlation between knocking out a couple of game of PES and then getting Messi.

 

3) You open more packs than us, and therefore pack good players more often.

 

 

All I was saying, is out of these explanations, which is the most likely?

You do have much better players than us, which is exactly the way it should be. In fact, I'm pretty disgusted on your behalf you haven't packed better, because like I said, you absolutely deserve to.

 

I should also make crystal clear here, I'm 100% not judging anyone for buying points. It is certainly not my place to tell anyone they can't spend their money on their hobbies, and anyone who tries to tell you different is talking out there arse.

Hey no offence taken. It’s my money. My mortgage gets paid, the bills, the car, the wife, the kids. No one starves. So the surplus is mine to do as I want, and if I want to spunk it fuck it I’ll spunk it. Can’t take it with you! ;)

 

Also, sniped 5 Lingard CL OTW cards in the cheap hoping Man U do well and he goes up in stats and price.

You're spunking cash on the game and EA want to give you num nums for your effort, this time you got an extra special treat to keep you hooked - the same as any prominent YouTuber - done. "Pack Luck" is a load of guff when this tripe has been happening for 4+ years.

 

In other news, I'm up to 142k - barely played the game and just keep rinsing BPM several times a day. I don't have the time for competitive FIFA anymore so this casual engagement suits me just fine.

I didn’t mean for it to come across defensive, and where I said about never opening packs with coins I was being sarcastic but it doesn’t often travel well in text, I always defended buying points by saying opening packs with coins was a con, but that’s the opposite of what I’ve seen on this Fifa.

 

i did pack Dybala, but I bought the pack with coins, I haven’t bought points since early access.

 

We all know EA profile customers, Jerec gets a big pull every now and then to encourage point buying, He I assume used points when he opened 5 or 7.5k packs and got De Gea, I also used to buy lots of points, 17 I spent a lot, probably similar to what Jerec is doing now, but that tailed off as my disposable income reduced for 18 as we had another baby and then other personal circumstances have changed which meant my spending has dropped even more as well as engagement on 19.

 

Im genuinely interested in how EA use the data and what players they choose to drop for us.

 

Just another note, after I got Messi last night I done the SBC for SMS and packed van dijk in the rare mega pack from his SBC.

I’ve got no doubt that they do that, my patterns of spending on previous FUT’s meant I dropped a big wad of cash during promos so always used to get the promo cards during events to entice me to spend that bit more, I’ve packed no tradeable promo cards on this one except otw Thomas Lemar which I used fifa points for from the initial 12k I added.

 

Looking back there’s definite patterns in who and how I’ve packed them, I packed 3 icons on 18, each time it was in rare electrum packs, all the 100k packs and ultimate packs I went through and no icons and I pack 3 in packs with 6 rare gold players, did I buy all the electrum packs every time they released them after that? You bet your arse I did.

I think it would be daft for EA not to reward those that spend hundreds of pounds on a 132kb download. Thin air! 

It keeps you hooked, imagine Jerec got nothing for spending £50 on the game then say £200 in a few months. He’d be less inclined to spend more and that goes with all other users who spend heavy. 

 

Gooner is simply being reward for paying for the EA xmas party.
