I've been having a think, and I reckon we're getting all manner of Promos coming.

Each year EA try and stop prices dropping around Black Friday, and each year they fail. It's in EA's best interest for players to be expensive, as it sucks coins out of the market and the easiest way of getting coins back in is to buy packs.

 

So what do you do if you can't keep gold players' prices high?

 

You bring out new players. Newer, shinier, better versions of the current players.

We've had way more special cards than usual - CL cards, Icons being available from the start, accelerated League SBCs with player picks in them, etc.

It makes sense to me that there's more - way more coming.

 

So what should we do?

Well, I don't like any long term investing. I'd get out of expensive cards you own (that you're not using) today or tomorrow.

I'd have a bunch of coins ready just in case. 

And I'd definitely get in some cheap 83s or 84s (try for outfield players, they go up more. And top 5 leagues or big nations always help.)

As in not GK.

 

You'll see the majority of those cheaper 83s are GKs, the reason is the demand is much lower. So they rise the least.

Thanks Pants. I was going to look at 85 rated players after the weekend, after watching what happened when the Gotze SBC went up, but I'll look a bit lower for tonight just in case.

When is POTM usually dropped? In my head I was expecting it today at 1 but clearly I was wrong.

 

Are we expecting it to be Aubameyang?

Weekend League isn't especially fun. Lots of cheap goals due to ridiculously overpowered teams and players. Hazard POTM is impossible to defend against.

I'm currently 5 wins 6 losses which isn't too bad for my team but I should have probably two more. Got a red card for blocking a shot in one match and hit both posts twice!

I thought 1 too, so I guess 3pm is the next window.

Auba's expected, couple of leaks on Twitter and he liked a mock-up of a card.

 Was just about to post that. In the space of about 3 seconds, the lowest priced card became 500k (was 288)

Actually, it's only an 89 card... and the market is dropping again now. Got to about 550k but back in around 420 now.

7 wins 9 losses. That's enough for today. Silver 1 is my aim but gold 3 would be nice. Played some good players today, the best was one with an 81 rated Bundesliga team. Played a lot of lucky shite too.

I can totally sympathise @nakamura , I think I'm done with the grind for a short while. No doubt I'll feel like I'm missing out, but trying to squeeze in 30 games of FIFA in a weekend is tough, and it's meant I haven't really played anything else since it came out.
