If your happy with 1625g per player then sell up. Profit be profit.

 

If thats not enough for you then wait for it to drop and hope there is a Brazil SBC that requires a In form. (I dont know how likely this is.)

 

Because you bought him so near minimum, the risks arnt as great.

 

I've just stuck all mine (Only 6 of) on for 14k, if they sell at that price I'm happy, if they dont, I'm in for the SBC roll of the dice.

Now I’m no expert. In fact, I am quite happily the kind of guy who loses 60% of my matches against good players and then doesn’t understand how I was able to win or draw the other 40%.

 

So with that confirmed, am I right in thinking that pace is not the all powerful tool it used to be? Even with yards of a head start I am finding players like Coman getting caught by much slower defenders or my defenders catching guys they have no right to get close to. It seems to be a result of players taking weird touches when sprinting with the ball or slowing down to automatically shield the ball even when an opponent isn’t close enough to really threaten them. As I said, no expert so someone please tell me if I this is true and I should be swapping Gameiro for Giroud or Benzema :)

I find when its my attackers running for goal, I get caught or tackled (without it seems actually being tackle, they kist take the ball?!) but when I'm defending my players are just a touch slower than their attackers.

Great question!

 

Personally, I'm selling my Brazilian guys this afternoon. Profit is Profit, and I've bitterly learned not to get greedy in this game (which is also true of investing in real life).

'Sell on Hype' is a great phrase - we know who the POTM is, and people will be convinced that a Brazilian IF will be needed, so they'll buy them before the SBC drops to try and get a good deal. Supply will outstrip demand, prices will rise.

 

When 6pm hits, there's a few possible outcomes, in order of good to bad:

  1. A Brazilian In Form is required. Prices rise. How much? God knows. Maybe a little, maybe a lot.
  2. Any In-form of any nationality is required in an 85 rated squad. Prices... stay equal? Drop? There are higher rated IFs out there after all.
  3. No IF is required. Prices Drop.
  4. NO POTM DROPS AT ALL. They released Marquee Matchips last night on a Thursday when last year they were released on Tuesdays. Have EA confirmed the POTM is dropping tonight? Prices PLUMMET.

So yeah, all-in-all, I'm selling this afternoon.

Pants Builds a Million Coins part 2 - TOTW2

 

WARNING: These are all UTTER GUESSES and they may all UTTERLY FAIL.

Follow these at your own risk, and you may lose coins.

 

Everyone should still be hammering the Bronze Pack method which will work great over this weekend, as people play the game for the first time and need random bronze players for the starter SBCs.

 

So with everyone loading up the game for the first time and opening a metric shit-ton of packs, there’ll be TOTW players everywhere. AND people won’t have much cash yet, so it’ll keep prices down.

 

Safe Investments.

You can't go wrong with discard In Forms. And it's hard to go wrong with In Form full backs.

Lala is a Ligue 1 RWB. I've picked him up for 10.5k. I'll probably hold him until next Friday when people start buying players for the weekend league.

The only downside here is that he may not rise much, as there is another Ligue 1 RB...

 

Middle risk investments

That Meunier card is beautiful. It’s instantly one of the best RBs on the game, and is a green link to Mbappe who will be popular this year. But it’s currently FIFTY FUCKING GRAND. I can’t afford that. If I could, I would absolutely grab one.

Otherwise, that Matip Card looks very tasty thank you very much. Premier League CBs are always popular. How may players is he going to link to though? Alisson will be a popular keeper for sure. Otherwise it’s all premier league teams that will be buying him.

At what price to buy him though? I have no idea is the answer. So let’s try and work it out.

Last year, Mustafi was an 86 rated Premier League CB in TOTW 1. He initially was worth 60k, and rose to 70k over the next week, and finally peaked at 89k.

Now Matip is only 84 rated. He’s currently around 19k. So a random guess here, but let’s say he follows Mustafi, but at half the price. Well that would be nice. Even 30k would be a STUNNING return on investment. But I can see him being worth 25k a week form now.

So, overall, I’m picking one up. But it is risky, cos it’s a lot of guesswork. Anyone who disagrees with me here, please shout up. I’m still learning myself.

 

 

Long Shots

Last year, EA would release marquee matchups that corresponded to the league SBCs that were coming – they did this to drain the stock of them and inflate prices.

Last night’s MM’s had the Portuguese League and The Eredivisie. So I’m keeping all bronze players from these two that aren’t worth silly money (over 750) and I’m slowly picking up cheap silvers on open bid for 200-250 coins.

This is QUITE a long shot. But if neither league drops next, they can sit in my club until both leagues do drop.

I am going to polishing up some rivals and squad battles positions today so at least have a few half decent packs to look forward to but that right there is a tremendous haul!

Picked up a Matip for 17k as an investment, had 102k built up so worth a punt!

 

I agree with Nakamura on using pace, it's not the instantaneous speed of previous games but once you get to grips with it you'll be burning away from defenders in no time. 

 

Anyone else hate what they've done with goal kicks? Even a tap of the long pass button results in leather goods it up the park.

I turned it off (kept getting distracted by the bar) but have noticed that you get a colour round the player icon/triangle that shows up green orange or red when you've hit a timed shot.

Fair fucks if you have the spare income its your money, do as you like ^_^ last year I probably spent about £80 over the year on points and it hurt when I got absolutely squat, Every. Single. Time.

 

I'm in the Fifa Points Abstinence Crew this year. :D

I'll never judge anyone who buys points. Personally I don't like it, and I think EA prey on young people and children with the packs, but people can do whatever they like with their own money.

 

However, you lose all right to complain about the game. If Fifa's done something or plays in a way you dislike, tough.

Voting with your wallet is the only way to change things. If you feed them cash regularly, you're agreeing with all their practices.
