Stones is a fantastic pull.

 

Yeah, you could get the pick of 5 (in my case absolute shiters!) a bit like your captain ok the draft.

 

I did get Skriniar of Inter Milan from one of my premium jumbo packs and sold him for 25k so that’s not too bad. Funds up to around 35k now and I haven’t even played a game.

Current plan. Save up for Larsson using my French side and transfer profit then build a team around him. I never got the chance to use him him last year, mainly because I was very wasteful with coins and purchase but figure a few weeks of discipline and I should be able to afford his 86 card.

 

What are all you boys working towards?

 

Also, noticed you can combine loan cards this year so I now have 10 Ronaldo games and 11 with Neymar from from the digital bonus and the catalogue boots. That wasn’t an option before was it? The change in quick options after you open a pack is going to take some getting used to with muscle memory sending cards to the wrong places now. Overall the interface feels slightly improved and the compare price being available before going to the transfer screen like it is on the app is a big improvement.

 

Still not played a game yet but delighted with everything so far. Oh and I am lvl 81 on the EAC thing @Pants McSkill so everything is available :)

They always are when it first comes out, mainly because you haven’t worked out the safer options yet, then there is the fact the keepers are always a bit shit on launch, and 90% of keepers you face are shit.

Started the divisions bit and lost 3 games straight,  it won my first WL game and left it there. My team performed better than the Man U and Chelsea I used in the Div games!

I think it's harder, I play a fair bit of squad battles and that has certainly been made far tougher.

I'm tempted to spunk my current monies into cheap highish rated informs, surely they will peak once the icons drop.

 

But I just am getting drawn into the coin investment cycle again! Rather than investing those coins into my team...hmmm.

 

I haven't even played the game yet. :lol:

I'm determined to play with average players for the first couple of months and organically work my way up. Prices plummet so drastically so quickly that it's easy to waste so much money.
And my main aim is to just be better at the game than I was last year. So that's something I can achieve first, then start really doing well with a good team upgrade.

 

That's the theory anyway.

PANTS BUILDS A MILLION COINS PT 1

 

I don’t tend to do a lot of investing, because life’s too short.

But last year, according to the Leaderboards, I had the highest transfer profit out of my friends list. So I thought I’d throw down my thoughts as and when I do them, in case it helps you guys rack up some coins.

 

Plus it helps me think through what I’m doing and stops me fucking up.

 

WARNING: These are all UTTER GUESSES and they may all UTTERLY FAIL.

Follow these at your own risk, and you may lose coins.

 

 

FIRST UP, SAFE INVESTMENTS

 

So right now, there’s a few In Forms that are available for min price. That means you can pick them up for a couple of hundred coins above their quicksell price.

This feels like a no brainer to me. I’d recommend picking one or two you might actually us so they don’t just rot in your club. One day, some SBC will drop and you’ll flog them for 15k.

 

 

SECOND: MIDDLE RISK

We’re expecting Lucas Moura’s TOTM SBC to drop on Friday. He’s not too expensive right now, and if he’s needed will rocket in price. However, he’s also useful for general Weekend League teams, so if he doesn’t rise, you should be able to offload him next weekend for similar to what he’s worth now.

 

HOWEVER.... This is combined with the above. Sidnei is in the current TOTW. He’s Brazilian.
If Brazil players are needed, and In Forms are needed (they were in almost every POTM last year), well he'll be damn useful.

You can pick him up for 10.5k. You can quick sell him for 10k.

I mean... I like this investment a lot.

 

If you pick up either Lucas or Sidnei, I would recommend selling on Friday before POTM requirements are announced. Always better to sell on hype.

 

Otherwise, Iniesta is 87 rated and I picked him up yesterday for 7600. That feels waaaay too cheap for an 87.

Difficult to slot into a starter team though, it kinda forces you to use Torres up front.

 

 

THIRD: LONG SHOTS

Ndong has been sacked by Sunderland in real life. I don’t know if that means his card will be extinct from now on, but as a silver League One card for 500 coins, it feels like it’s worth a long term punt.

 

 

 

If these help you in anyway and make you a shit-ton of coins, you can repay me by playing me in a friendly and telling me where I suck at the game.

I've joined you on the Sidnei punt, hopefully should be a bit of a freebie if you have the spare monies! (And sell during the hype.)

 

(What the hell happened to Vidal... He is 57 pace now he has joined Barcelona. :( 75 last year at Bayern!)

I'm on bronze pack method too, went from about 4000 coins last night to having a full transfer list and TOTW Angel ready to flip once he's not in packs any more. Wish I'd come in here first and jumped on the Sidnei hype.

 

On a completely unrelated note, how come the game and the app are bombarding me with pictures of Dybala cupping his farts and sniffing them? Is it some wanky celebration that his marketing team have come up with?

For anyone here who hasnt done them, make sure you do the SBC's!

 

They are especially useful early in the game, where you have have a good chance to get players around 81-82 to sell on at there cost peak.

 

Be sure to use FUTBIN to help you through it aswell, the later advanced ones are realy awkward because they require players who are loyal. :seanr:

 

 

I've just got tough and hybrid master outstanding, cant see them getting complete anytime soon!

In other news: The sweat is real. Belotti is killing it with 20 in 15, still baffles me that this guy is so cheap. Gomez not far behind him...Škriniar is a beast at the back. Well worth the 20k!

Or you could massively waste your coins it cost me 11k to do the final hybrid leagues one, opened the mega pack and rare mega pack and got Giroud in one and Leon Bailey in another
