So today I opened all my fut packs I got free from my world cup packs... I've spent 300k so you can work it out how many packs I got free..... I got...... 

Some totw player I can't even remember his name, Koscienly and Little fucking Pea! 

The rest, all 79 or below. 

Really does show that if you don't spent actual money on fifa (I spent a tenner at the start) they truly fuck you over on the packs!

Lowest BIN surely? That’s 6500 at 200 BIN. Throw in some of the more expensive position change cards and Chem cards and that’s fairly believable. All of the fitness, squad fitness, and contracts will be based on 200 BIN now.

Not reallt, the odds of getting anything decent at all from a 7.5k pack is slim at best. I opened around 90 over the last few days and best pull was Modric.

94 Batshuayi and 91 Gomez and 2 x 89’s from my monthlies. Nothing from my packs. But I managed to finish R9! Started with 550k, ended with 250k (including WL rewards) So in total, R9 cost me around 350k to complete, plus whatever it costs to do a few TOtS SBc’s

Shit, that’s incredible really. No icons, no Ronaldo, yet I know people who have packed multiples of each.

 

i haven’t read the whole lot, but did he do this all at once? I believe they definitely adapt pack weights if you spend a lot and then don’t spend anything for a long time or don’t go on the game.

And that there is the problem. It shouldn’t matter how much you’ve spent, and when. Pack weights should be consistent over time and across the player base.

I think gambling regulation should be applied and adaptive pack weight made illegal;  There should be a guaranteed percentage chance.   For the ammount of money going through it for ea to not be required to publish data is just ridiculous.

The entire gambling mechanism where you have no fucking idea what you are getting in a pack should be removed outright! If folk want to pay for packs or use in game coins and they know what they are getting, ie. 2 gold rares, 4 normal rares, 4 contracts, 6 randoms, etc. then that is fine and would still make a stupid amount of money.

 

It's the entire mystery / loot box aspect of a pack that makes them so bad. Buying 10 packs as you chase the dream because you have no idea when you will get something useful. The ROI data in that post above is the most important bit for me. It shows quite clearly that you almost always never make back the coin value of a pack so you are constantly losing coins, picking up shite and overall have no idea how much of a loss you have made compared to the pack value spent.

 

I was actually thinking about this the other day... why there are no stats that show how many packs you have purchased, what kind, etc. and I know the reason is because most of us would be thoroughly disgusted with ourselves and EA dont want that but it is such a simple statistic that the game should really keep track of for you. Want to know how many times your IF Lukaku scored, no bother. Want to know how many packs it took for you to get him, sorry mate.

 

Ultimate Team is the first and for me the absolute worst exploitation of the loot box shite that has been slaughtered recently but it is so ingrained in players as the main mode now that they get away with it. We need more stuff like the analysis above and then I suppose some authority to actually do something about it!

 

But hey, the World Cup mode is good guys so lets distract ourselves with that!

I opened 45 and the majority of players were 79 or below. So yeah, EA sucks ass!

This update is fucking garbage. They have absolutely broken the game. It's now impossible to play with a lower rated team. The game is so heavily geared towards big players and the huge pack pulls make it a joke. 

 

Turning is slower, but the huge pace of forward make it a non issue for teams because they can just sprint into defenders. 

 

Passing has become pinpoint and again the big players just play easy balls. 

 

Tackling is again hopeless. I made 5 strong tackles in one match and lost all of them because my player was rated lower than my opponent. 

 

Pace is again everything. With a forward line of 90rated speeders and the fut bonus, it's now constantly 99 pace rated players. 

 

I have spent time playing with big players and the game is batshit fast and so easy to win. Soon as I swap to my normal Japan team, it becomes literally unplayable. I always expect a tough game but it's not even that now. You lose every 50/50. Lose every race. It's not how football or even FUT18 worked. I had to get my angles and my timing spot on to win a game. Now it's just impossible.

I was referring to the free 7.5k packs you get in FUT when you open a 7.5k pack in WC mode. I’ve had some good luck with packing TOTS cards from the league upgrade packs (brackets denotes the two cards from the TOTS SBC’s):

 

Prem - Kane, Firmino, Pope (Sterling, Mahrez)

La Liga - Adan, Sergi Roberto, Jordi Alba, Hernandez (Adan, Saul)

Bundesliga - James Rodriguez, Caligiuiri (Gregoritz x2)

Calcio A - Higuain, Handanovic, Luis Alberto, Masiello (Dybala, De Vrij)

Ligue 1 - Rousillion, Marcelo, Verrati,  Kimpembe, (Aouer, Lopes)

Yeah, the free packs are gash. I have opened 23 and best I got was a TOTW goalkeeper that I have never heard of. Everything else mostly non rare.

 

In WC mode though I got Neymar, Dybala, Otamendi, Goretzka, Kyle Walker, Morata and Hulk so not a bad haul but impossible to get the best players on the same time with the Chem links being so limited.

 

My best front line would be Neymar, Dybala and Willian but then I have to go European midfield as I have De Bryune and Goretzka. Dilemma! 

 

Quick question... can you change a CAM to a Striker by going through CF position first?

So I went back to standard FUT today and all of my players are now useless. They just do not turn and there is often a delay on passing. The reduced turning speed but same running speed has completely skewed the balance of the gameplay. Also the skills moved are exactly the same and now more overpowering than ever.

My apologies. I was a little frustrated the other day, normal FUT is indeed unchanged. I don't get to play with Japan often in a decent football game and feel a little disappointed with this.
