This World Cup setup is decent isn’t it?! Got Salah, Isco, Mustafi and some dross in my starter pack and since then have added De Bryune, Alderwerild, Di Maria and a few other decent players after grabbing a load of WC packs using my saved coins.

 

SBCs are decent too and that Icon one looks a piece of piss so will get that done shortly. Had I not saved a load of coins for this then it may not have been as instantly accessible and rewarding but thoroughly delighted with it so far. Well done EA... you are still a shower of dirty, smelly, rotten, money grabbing, rat bastards... but this is nice!

Enjoying World Cup mode so far. Used all 350,000 of my coins and have completed the Icon SBC. Have got the following in my squad:

- Icon Ronaldo (SBC) 

- Icon Lineker

- Icon Moore 

- Lewandowski

- Ramos

- Kante

- Kane

- Pique 

- Rakitic

 

Not a bad haul! Also got around 50 packs to open in the main FUT mode, if I ever decide to go back there.

I got Hernandez who has scored a billion goals for me in his first 5 games. I got Klose in my guaranteed pack, far less impressive.

Sounds like I got pretty lucky then! 

 

About time, as I've had bugger all pack luck in the main FUT mode since I packed TOTS Kroos in Fifa 14 (?). 

 

Now do I open all my FUT free packs now and pump the transfer coin into World Cup mode...

Yeah that what my thoughts were. I think it's very unlikely to pick up either - and I'm going to have more fun playing World Cup mode, especially as I have a decent team. Guess it's time to open those packs! :D

 

People who played FUT World Cup in 2014 - was there promo packs released?

50 packs opened in main FUT and the best I got was an 84 rated Adebayor IF.  And that's why I'm done with the main FUT!

 

Should hopefully bring me in around 80,000 coins once it's gone through all the transfers. So another ten or so packs on World Cup mode :)

It means some interesting player choices due to the restricted pool.  I have 85 varane as my 7 chem left back as he's pacier, bigger and stronger than most left backs on the game. I'm also switching meunier from rm to cdm in game for the same reasons.

 

Messi I play from the bench as I played a few games with him starting off chem and he had no stamina by 60 mins.  He's been better as a second half sub.

Still working towards R9. I’ve worked out that it’s cheaper to do the lower Icon SBC’s than it is to buy an Icon, plus you get the packs back. Takes longer, but hey ho. Just need to do the 86/87/88 parts and I’m done

350k from the sale of my FUT team a month or two back, then I've been selling all the players I've been receiving in the free FUT packs. So I guess, 450k-ish?

Ive spent 310k on mine so far. Got TOTS Debuchy from one of the normal FUT packs so will recoup 30k or keep him for recycling into Ultimate TOTS
