I was only planning on playing to 21 wins this weekend for Monthlies, and ended up 21-2, so it would have been rude not to hit elite, I'm absolutely knackered today, but I got my best finish on the WL, 35 wins, Elite 1.

 

I had a lot of joy playing 442(2) or 4222 this weekend, but i also messed around with Custom Tactics during games, lots of the games were near unplayable with bad first touches and players not making runs, so i lowered my passing risk to 35(safe) and 17 for short, put Aggression and pressure to 66 each, and width to 25, i also pretty much exclusively dribbled using L1, was an interesting weekend and the coins and packs will be nice going into TOTS as I wasted loads of coins on packs during the last couple of events. 

 

Oh, and I beat 2 Top 100's on the way, P_giorgos and Shindy_93, Shindy got a bit Salty, but giorgos was decent and sent a GG.

Hit 23 wins this weekend. Lost my last 3 games as I went for Gold 1. I also played differently this weekend. I slowed my play right down, recycled possession better, played more attacking and aggressive. I was competitive in every game bar one that I lost 4-2 after going 4-0 down before half time. Every other game I lost I was ahead at some point of the game. Need to react quicker to opposition changes. 

 

I still start off 4-1-2-1-2 (2) but then switch to 4-4-2 flat when I’m struggling, with 87 Sterling and SBC Greizmann on the wings.

 

SBC De Bruyne has replaced NIF Pogba to great effect, but his H/H work rates means he needs subbing after 70 mins or so.

I managed Gold 3 this weekend, 3 games remained and I set my sights on Gold 2, next game in the bag, the guy that followed (Martial/Dembele/M'Bappe meta pacey wanker) just dominated the game, although I had 60% possession I just couldn't get enough chances and lost 3-1, but still, it was 1am and I was glad to be going to bed.

 

I think the Pele loan card helped, it was so good to use.

It means losing 92 Cavani, 91 Pirlo, Prime Rui Costa, etc. The only untradeables I’ll be left with will be Ferdinand, Rijkaard, Kaka, Rooney, KDB and Greizmann. And I think I’m OK with that. I’ll use 92 Schmeichel in the 89 rated Squad, and 90 Rui Costa in the 88 rated Squad. I did the Icon SBC ages ago and got Inzaghi so that went into the first Gullit Icon. Done all of the smaller squads, just the 83+ ones left to do.

Actually don’t do it, there will be high rated tots players going for near discard from Dutch leagues etc, so do it then.

I dont have a big selection of tradeable players, but I do have a lot of untradeables from SBC’s and stuff.

I was testing out and taking tips from my buddy in Denmark, hes pretty much pro level.

I only watched one, your passing is far too reliant on RNG, first time passes, sloppily directed, better opposition would rip you apart.

 

If your friend is very good at Fifa, he should have told you to slow your game down, consider your passes better, to defend with your midfielders and not to let the ball turnover by snapping at shots as soon as you get a sight of goal.

He told me exactly that :lol:

 

He amended my tactics, formation and player instructions and streamed his games.

 

I wouldn't say slow the game down per say but control the ball more, pick better passes and try to get nearer the box and shoot with low driven shots.

I’m toying with picking up 87 Koke and any other card for the rating to put into the Gullit SBC, or just dumping them all into the Ultimate pack and hoping for a good reward during TOTS.

 

Talking of TOTS, I know that EA release the players into packs incrementally, but is there a period at the end where ALL of the TOTS players from ALL of the leagues are in packs at the same time?

No, but you get the EA TOTS which is comprised of the best TOTS cards in each position from the major leagues, that's the one most of the packs get bought on as it includes the likes of Ronaldo and Messi and Premier League players.

 

I'll be getting either Sanchez or 2 high rated cards for SBC's.
