25/40. Which is my best so far. This month I’m on 63 wins out of 118 games played so I’m maintaining my roughly 0.5 Win:Loss ratio. I struggled Friday and Saturday night to get any kind of rhythm going, but I won 12/15 last night with a 9 win streak, which was extremely satisfying. I usually only ever get thrashed a couple of games each weekend, but generally lose a good number of games that I was either winning by 2 or tight encounters. 

 

If I have kick off, I’ve starting going Ultra Attacking right from the whistle. If I go 2-0 quite quickly I sometimes get a rage quit early on. But if I start Ultra Defensive like I usually do and build up to a 2-0 lead the other player will generally stay, giving more risk to me of a comeback.

I had one quitter, he just couldnt keep the ball and each time he'd be in my final third and just lose it and I'd be straight on the attack again, after 2 goals he was gone.

 

On the flip side I prob quit a fair few myself, no point wasting time when your 3 nill down.

Oh and I just spend 10,000 points on 10 Electrum and 5 45k packs, got sweet F All, just the 84 and 83 fodder that I'd scrapped in the TOTW upgrades.

 

I'm complaining to EA, the weighing down on pulls has been horrendous, everyone I know on the game has agreed with me.

Tell me about it, I just got caught up in the event, I know I shouldn't and it would just be a bloody waste, but its so easy, a couple of clicks and its topped up, you hardly notice.

 

But thats it now, 100000000000000000000010% no more points, I'm earning my packs, gonna git gud and start winning.

Yeah, its very dangerous ground indeed. (I got caught up and spent a fiver on some packs and even that upset me! (Even more so when I packed 85 Insigne and saw he was worth about 8k :lol: )

 

You just have to remind yourself of those terrible odds and all those youtubers packing shite. (Ignore Gooner aswell, seeing him packing Pele and Ronaldo only fans the flames! :P )

 

I think there was a similar conversation a few pages back, the whole thing is tantamount to gambling and can become very addictive, especially when its so easy to do.

 

Try and get your pack fix the Pants way (which is addiction of its own kind! (But a free one)) and work through the SBCs.

Once you buy packs with real cash, it's definitely gambling.

I'm certainly not going to judge people of how they spend their money, but if you're not enjoying the results of spending the cash, you should stop. Harder said than done, and the system is entirely designed that way.

 

Having looked back at my 100+ pack results, and following similar conversations on Reddit, I'm now convinced that EA severely lighten pack weight during these big promotions.

There's several reasons why they would, and zero reasons why they wouldn't.

 

 

I quite enjoyed opening so many packs in one go, so am going to store mine and do it again. If anyone wants to join me, I'm well up for doing it as a collective.

We could pick a date, or wait for an exceptional TOTW, or say everyone must hit 50 packs and have a competition to see who can have the most.

Then bang them all out on one evening - although maybe avoid the big promotions in case my pack weight theory is correct.

I’m up for that! Wouldn’t take too long I don’t think. 2 or 3 packs from WL, 2 or 3 packs from SB, 2 packs from Draft, 5 packs from MM, and let’s say 5 packs from daily and weekly rewards. So that’s around 17 packs a week, plus any extra from other SBC’s. 2-3 week’s of saving packs. And then list the packs and significant drops? Probably best only to save the gold and electrum packs upwards though. No point in saving silver gift packs and bronze contract packs.

Yeah, overall your packs would have been utter crap if you didn't get that one big pull! (Pants)

 

The thing about buying packs at the minute, its not only the weight but the player value is so low, it makes buying packs worse than ever! Lighter odds and when you do land a high rated player, they are not actually worth that much. (Unless in that mega bracket.)

 

I would be down for saving some packs up, but I dont have a great deal of funds to do many SBCs without selling what I win, could see how far I get with it. :)

 

I've cherry picked most of the good rewards off the SBC League list already I think. :( (Does anyone have a link to a decent guide for the best teams and packs to hit up?)

I just use the SBC guide on Futbin. It tells you the lowest price of completing each SBC and group. For instance; the Bayern Munich part of Lothar Matthaus Prime SBC is 19k to complete and rewards a Premium Gold Players Pack, whereas the 87 rated Squad part rewards a rare mega pack for 258k.

 

So obviously some SBC’s rewards are more economical

Cheers! I do that at the minute (bloody love futbin, even though it always seems to be behind these days), I was just wondering if there was a definitive, easy to read table of what's included in the various reward packs (eg Small Electrum Player Pack is: 6 Players (3 Gold + 3 Silver (3 Rare))) And which teams have the best ones..

Definitely don't save contract packs. Small silver packs can yield big wins due to the Silvers market - Plenty of league SBC Wingers and full backs go for 1k+.

But you should look to hit any League SBCs, and SBCs in the icons and all Marquee Matchups and all Promo SBCs.

 

BPMing really helps the Leagues SBCs too.

 

 

My method when doing the league SBC's is to try and trade my way to them.

So rather than just picking the lowest BIN in the market, I do the following:

-Build the team using 'Squad builder' and 'Use concept players'. This will fill out the squad page.

-Pick a player and search in transfer market.

-Scroll though to the prices between 45mins and 1 hour - note the lowest BIN.

-Go back to page one and mass bid on any that are cheaper than that.

 

Cons: Takes a while, and you hve to be a bit of an SBC addict like me to get enjoyment from it

Pros: Not only does it save you thousands, but yo can make money off some teams, especially silver cards. I'm regularly grabbing 4x a silver worth 1200 for 600 coins , and flogging the others for mass profit.

Buying packs is not gambling. In gambling you have a chance to win something back, with packs you win nothing, zero, zilch. Pulling a mega card doesn't mean a win, you still get nothing back. It is not the essence of what gambling is. You are merely buying a random generation of a free to play card game. 

 

The only way it could be gambling is if you can sell your cards back for physical cash.

No. Gambling in essence is risking something for something in return of greater value. It is a regulated thing and this doesn't come under it. 

 

It's far worse than gambling.

Based on who I’ve got just now, here are my plans if I do pick him up, with position changes for Lukaku and Wijnaldum of course.

 

My only reservation is Lingard at CM with his less than stellar defensive abilities but maybe having Kante and Kolasinac around him will make up for it.

I rebought 87 Son but I do not have them skillz to use him. I get to that area of the pitch and I'm immediately swarmed.

 

Is there a mode to practise attacking and skills in the game?
