I’m away most of this weekend but played some games last night. I recently got TIF Son and he’s a revelation, 30 goals in 18 games and that’s with a bunch of rage quits, I played 8 Weekend League games and won them all. Son has 5* weak foot, 90+ long shots and finesse shot trait with high curve. Essentially this means you can shoot from pretty much anywhere. I’d say half his goals were from outside the box! He’s so tricksy because people never know which way you’re gonna turn seeing as he can shoot equally well with both feet. 

 

He scored every shot he had against me, he was so good I bought him.

I think I'll flog him this morning, then have a ponder on what team to build, and buy them up tomorrow evening when prices are lower after WL is over.

 

I think prices are generally cheapest on Saturday night. Have a look at the last few weekend’s history for some players on Futbin if you can find it.

11-11 in the weekend league at the moment which is better than I’ve managed at this stage in the past. Aiming for gold 3 so seven win from 18 should be attainable but my form could easily go to dogshit and blow it. 

 

Ive been starting with Icardi and Mertens up front with Gomez at CAM which has been working well. If I’m in need of a change Dembele comes on with Mertens dropping into the vacant CAM slot.

He will go up in price after Toty but if you want to replace with another Toty now is the time to sell.

After a look at some of the big guys' price history (CR7, IF Neymar, Messi), it seems Monday is the cheapest point.
I'll build my new team after the weekend.

 

Suggestions for a team all welcome! I'll have about 1.5m and Mr Ronaldo to fit into the side.

 

In the meantime, I'm trying to complete the French League SBC, and dicking around with a team that has SBC Giovinco, and SBC Pirlo in it.

Legendary Loans! (+Aurier) Assemble!

 

I was feeling pretty pleased with my Loan Legends but then Gooner is actually approaching a legend team...

 

I have enough Loans now to see me through about 100 games with 3 legends in the starting line ups.

 

i don't even think i will play another 100 games like, but that is beside the point!

CR7 is proper cheat codes for me. 65 goals and 15 assists in 55 games.

 

I was thinking on what team I could build. 

Then I went and played a couple of division 5 games and remembered how shit the gameplay can be. Every opponent with the carbon copy bakayoko/martial/jesus squad, on park the bus and firing driven passes to Jesus who they run in a straight line in the hope that your defender will make a mistake.. which of course he will because Fifa.

 

Then thoughts of what team I should build kinda went away.

I'm genuinely looking forward to what @gooner4life will manage with CR7. I'm proper shit the game, and he's amazing for me. What formation you running?

 

Actually, I'm also glad I'll never have to face Steely running those Icons. Vague memories of my Madrid getting slaughtered in the FTL by Middlesbrough are painful enough, so Christ knows how bad ICON FC would be to play against.

He’s not shite but he doesn’t feel like his card stats suggest he should.

 

@Pants McSkill I’m playing the 433 as it is.

 

sometimes I’ll swap in game to match up the other player if I’m getting outplayed or if I just need a goal then Pirlo comes on at CAM and I switch to 4312 with CR7 and Henry upfront.

Managed to get Gold 3 with a win in my final game, loan Ronaldos (7 & 9) came in handy during the run in. Just glad I don’t have to play any daily knockout tournaments during the week and can have a break from online until next Friday. 

 

One of the last last few games was my craziest yet in fifa 18. Up against a full loan Icon squad  (had to check if it was Steely) I managed to win 9-5 after going in three all at the break. Even with that scoreline, Yashin still had an incredible game in goal but couldn’t stop the Ronaldo machine.

Just had a very weird night on WL. Needed 5 wins out of 15 remaining to get Gold 3. Which is always my aim so I don’t have to re-qualify. Ended up winning 12 of them to hit Gold 1. Eh?! 

 

One game stood out as I quickly went 3-0 down after 24 mins. But brought it back to 3-3 at HT. then went 6-3 up after 72 mins before they quit out. No idea what happened at either end, the whole game was a complete mess of rebounds, deflections and richochets.

I really need to have a crack at the weekend league!

 

Played a few divisions games last night but they were a bit of a laggy mess. Pretty sure I was given a loss aswell when the other guy quit at 1 - 1. <_<

 

One thing I know for certain @gooner4life is that Ronalidinhos hair animation is worth whatever his cost is alone. That there is next level ponytail flicking.

Sadly not, the last two games I had (1 win needed for Silver 2) we're players that were just immense, standard Meta teams and they were running rings around me.

 

Annoyed that I lost a good 5/6 games because of stupid errors like Keeper rolling the ball to a player 2ft away after a corners been taken or having it intercepted from a Goal Kick, but its my first WL and I think I did ok. Learnt a lot, especially the defending and intercepting/cutting pass lanes etc.

 

Just hope I can get in again this weekend, its just the 40 games in 3 nights thats the prob, I was lucky we had a lazy day at home so I had a few hours to play during the day, normally I don't get that luxury.

 

But I did have the best win ever, some guy with the said team thinking he was the bollocks, and he was playing good I was terrified but I beat him 2-1! I messaged him to say good game and he said I'd just ended his 11 win streak, which felt great.

 

How'd you do?
