With the likelihood of Valencia also getting a TOTY Card today, the price of his NIF and IF card might drop as well.

Looking at the current requirements for a Prime Icon and pretty sure there is no way I will be able to get him. The fact you seem to need one of there standard Icon cards to complete it is just hilarious. Right away thats minimum 450k as the chances of packing him are about as much as Caity Lotz asking if she could sit on my face.

 

Best I can hope for is to profit from the full Celtic and Sweden squads I have when it gets released.

I don't think the icon requirements particularly drive up prices as not many people look to complete them.

 

Nothing the extent of marque match ups which everyone gets involved in or repeatable challenges for in forms.

Looking at Larssons expected stats for his Prime I don't actually think it is worth the investment if you already have his 87 card. Not from a playing sense anyway. His Prime will most likely have the dreadlocks, which I would happily pay 6 figures for on their own if I had the coins!

It's funny*, but I bought him again recently (the 87 one) as I was struggling getting to Div 1 and thought I'd try to brute force it with his strength/heading, rather than tippy tap/speed it with Dybala/Mertens/Gomez.  I can't play with him anymore!  I've got so used to being in front of goal with the aforementioned 3, that I was useless with him.  I flogged him again and am still languishing in Div 2. :(

 

I'm gonna spend my coinage on Nainggolan for Marchisio.  See if that makes any kind of difference.

I am an idiot.

 

had 4mil coins after selling OTW Lacazette, Kante, IF Kolasinac and a few others, got caught up in the TOTY hype and spent 1mil on packs, didn't even pack 1 100k player in any of them.

 

So close to getting 95 Pele and having 350k left and now i need to somehow make another mil.

To be fair even if you pack now, the value of the vast majority of players even 88 rated players is on its arse in comparison to the cost of packs.

 

They really should reduce the cost of packs or something as the season goes on and values plummet.

I opened a 100k pack that didn't even flash, thats how shit they have been.

Its a way to take coins out of the market. There’s always a way to earn more coins: playing games, objectives, rewards, SBC’s. Without the 5% tax, the total number of coins on the market will just increase massively over time. This would then cause the price of players to increase as well as everyone would have more than enough coins to buy players. Basically it helps stabilise the market as much as it profits EA themselves.
