To be fair, I want all of them. I had De Bruyne for 200+ games and he was great, just a tad slow for my liking, but his TOTY Card looks phenomenal. Same for Modric (who i’d sell instead of rebuilding my team, or link him to future CR7) and Kante.

Completed Prime Rio SBC. Played a few games with him in Div 4 Online. What a difference he makes over David Luiz! He doesn’t bomb forward for no reason even though he was on stay back. He tackles well, intercepts brilliantly, and is as quick as any attacker with a shadow card. 

 

No no luck in packs tonight though. A few 83/84’s from MM rewards, but I did get Bonucci from the TOTY Nominee SBC. A day early. 1 day. Fucker!

Done all the Marquee Match Ups and TOTS basic challenges this week and the best I got was....

 

Strootman.

 

Get. To. Fuck.

 

Fair enough the TOTS challenge I did today is for a basic premium gold pack so you can't expect much, but still I would have hoped for anything better than my three rares being a Gold Contract, Silver Contract and fucking Wolves badge. Crock of shite.

I’ve watched a few pack videos this week, where youtubers open up in excess of 50k of FIFA points worth of rare player packs and not one of them I’ve seen has packed a TOTY Card. That’s £400 of packs. It’s not like they’re even getting good pulls besides that. No icons, no CR7’s, etc. 

 

Just goes to show how the folly of opening packs with FIFA points.

Its only the top Youtubers that get "given" special packs that contain these cards, so that we sheep see the videos and think we actually have a chance ourselves.

Castro opened 2000 pounds of packs and got fuck all. Some you tubers definitely get rigged packs, like you say it’s free advertising. Look how many blues Bateson has for example

Is there a set schedule for Icon Primes SBCs appearing? I don't have the patience to save enough coins to buy one of the 87 rated cards that are on the market so holding out for his SBC and then throw everything I have at it. I have a Celtic team ready to go and a few other players that I expect will form his other challenges so be good to know if it will actually happen.

 

The pack pulls are horrendous. When the Star Wars BF2s crate gambling nonsense broke the internet in November Ultimate Team managed to somehow escape any real scrutiny even though it is clearly the most lucrative system of that type. EA just got in there so early with it and evolved the system that we don't even think to question it, even though it regularly fucks us over!

I would say: No.

 

Zanetti is not a cost effective upgrade on Valencia. He has 4* weak foot, and better passing and defending, but he’s also slower and has poorer physicals. Not worth an extra 450k. There’s a reason most of the top 100 players use IF Valencia over Icon Zanetti, even though IF Valencia is more expensive. 

 

With the likelihood of Valencia also getting a TOTY Card today, the price of his NIF and IF card might drop as well.

There was a leaked screenshot of release dates of Icons, but it’s likely fake. 

 

With Apple’s insistence that all apps that offer loot boxes now have to disclose the odds, it will be interesting to see what information EA release
