A cataclysm of bad investments (Bloody Pires) and doing SBCs, and buying 2 bloody shitty 50k packs. (2 50k packs  and the best I got was an 82 rated Delafloof the rest where all 81 and lower.)

 

My fortune has now dwindled from 500k to 300k and that's after selling off a fair few players. Shite. All I have to show for it is a 87 rated Mustafi who could be have been bought for 65k if I wanted him.

 

so, don't buy packs kids, or do SBCs. The amount of 84-83 rated players I was holding onto and pumped into the TOTW challenges instead of selling is silly, I should be sitting on 700k.

 

Gambling never pays. (Unless your Gooner, who probably would have packed Originaldo in my situation.)

Can concur with these current upgrade and TOTW SBC's, and I bloody love me some SBC action.

I couldn't see the value in any of them really (especially not the league pack upgrade sbcs), but had two untradeable IFs from Black Friday sbcs so did the current Tradeable 81+ TOTW SBC.

 

Packed a Pastore, who goes for 30k. Which is a very decent result...

 

Except the two untradeable SBCs cost me about 10k each, and the rest of the players needed to get up to a 83 rated squad could have been sold for about 15-20k.

So I'm about 5k down.

 

Also, if anyone comes into this thread for the first time ever and reads this post, they won't have a fucking clue what I'm going on about.

I think some of the SBCs available when you first get Ultimate Team are decent. Then there’s a drop off. It’s in line with most online games with micro transactions, they give well to non-payers to begin with and then suddenly they don’t and you’re more tempted to spend money.

100% Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player on the game still, I used the Prime R9 loan as well and he didn't feel as special as CR7.

 

I actually Benched Thierry Henry and got NIF Mbappe to play upfront with Lacazette as the High/Medium workrates meant he was more available for a pass in behind in the clunky stuck in the mud games than Henry was, Mbappe doesn't have as good g2g as Henry for me, but he was more available and meant I scored more overall than with Henry in the team.

Yeah Lacazette is just amazing, he guarantees me a goal a game, he's currently sat on 115 more goals than games and that's 430 games in, all in Fut Champs or Div 1.

 

I didn't like Gabriel Jesus, i tried him as I packed him 7 times in a week, i thought the universe was trying to tell me something, so I've got Laca paired with Mbappe now, they are phenomenal together, especially with Bergkamp feeding them.

I've got 600k burning a hole in my pocket so wil give him a try since he's down to around 100k! 

 

Also looking at Dembele for my RF slot in the 4321 as he'd get chem links with Lacazette and Bakayoko in that formation, just realised he has 5* skills and weak foot so benching Willian (who is great) wouldn't be too bad. Martial on the left is amazing, any breakaways and he just burns up the pitch. 

 

Edit. Went for both of them, this should be fun to use online!

I did look to be honest but its too risky and a slog to sell your players to get the coins.

 

Thats it now though until bonus time, not more bought packs.

Despite it being Monday, when all prices drop as people sell their WL teams, and it also being Black Friday weekend with a gaziilion more packs being opened through the Promos, flash SBCs and La Liga upgrade SBC... Ronaldo has gone up in price.

 

In fact, he hasn't dropped below 1.9m all weekend, and is currently sat on an all-time high price of 1.92m.

 

I have sold every player worth selling. I have offloaded squad fitness cards galore. I have traded SBC players like a loon.

I have 1.98m in my balance.

 

I could go get him, and play him with a bunch of duffers. But I refuse to pay over the odds for him. I'm going to sit here with my mountains of coins, open my flash SBC and squad battle rewards and then I'm going to play Battlefield.

I'd probably lean towards Jesus. He's the most popular striker going and if he gets an upgrade, all the streamers would piss their pants with glee and there'd be one hell of a rush for him.

 

Also I think he's more likely to get one sooner. City are scoring for fun whereas Utd have gone off the boil a bit.
