Weekend league has weekly rankings but you also get ranked monthly.

 

weekly rewards are coins and packs.

 

monthly rewards are tiered and you get TOTW players from the whole month.

 

assuming it's the same as 17 i should get 12 players from all of octobers TOTW players.

 

difference being these players are untradeable, but they are also red and gold instead of black and gold, so it's a nice way of showing off how good you are.

 

I'm hoping I can pull TOTW Sanchez, Gabriel Jesus, Eriksen and De Gea, but EA are never that friendly.

Are OK so the monthly rewards are for the weekend league only, yeah? Also cheers for the red and black player tip. As I'm new to FUT this year all the different coloured backgrounds to different players means literally nothing to be, but I'm slowly learning. Black = IF, Blue = SBC player, White = Icon... hmm that might be all I got.

 

Also another quick Q: a guy in my work just told me they're likely to have SBCs later in the year which require 1 or more scream players. If I fulful the current "untradeable" Scream player SBC, could I use these in SBCs? Wasn't sure if the untradeable means just unsellable but still OK to use in SBCs... or entirely untradeable.

They can be used, yes, but it’s not really financially sound. Players from SBCs are just another gamble, much like packs. You’ll probably get someone low rated. They’re fun, but I avoid them generally. 

 

SBCs for specific players are another matter. I got Suarez 94 for about 400k last year and he was definitely worth it. Equivalent cards were 1m+ and he lasted me the rest of the year.

You're much better off picking up a Scream player now, as there's a couple you can get for 11k, which is almost discard price (10.5k I was looking at the 'bosted' discard, it's actually 9,150).

If an SBC comes along you like the look of, it's only cost you 11k, whereas the upgrade untradable SBC will cost more.

And if you're not bothered by the SBC, you can sell him for profit when it drops as everyone else will be clamouring for them.

 

Or if you want the coins in the meantime - say an IF turns up you have to have, discard the scream player and only lose 500 1850 coins.

I should have looked into Del Piero’s SBC more in-depth. Spent most of my coins (less than 50k left) on doing his SBC’s and then realised I need to swap an Icon?!! You don’t need to do that for Overmars or Rui Costa. Grrr. 

 

Who’s the cheapest Icon?

 

Also, is there monthly rewards for offline Squad Battles?

You don't know what players you will get, but you know what tier of monthly reward you will get, I finished Elite 3 monthly with 104 wins - 3 more wins over the month would have got me elite 2.

Cheers Pants. I've taken the worthwhile investment risk and bought a few Butlands and a Van Damme for 11k each. Worst case I'm sure I'll get my money back when the SBC drops, best case I'll use 1 or more for a valuable SBC and sell the others for cold hard PROFIT.

Assuming you mean me Timmo. It's really just jealousy :( I've had one crack at he daily qualifier and got through 2 rounds but that was before I had any real time with my team. 

 

Change of topic... will they be doing a World Cup UT this year as that would be a bit special!

The 2014 WC UT is the single greatest FIFA experience I have ever had. I played it probably as much as Gooner has played this years normal version. The simple fact that card stats changed through the tournament based on form made it so good.

 

Pretty sure the players weren't tradeable and you got players through random pack releases, which I can't see EA accepting if they do it again but it would be great to see a World Cup version however they implement it.

Thats a fun idea...like having a quid sweepstakes at work, which ends in you  actually giving a shit about Romania.
