Mega Drive. Yeah!

I've got a Saurian modded Nomad. It's a surprisingly nice machine, though I don't use it much if I'm perfectly honest. I stupidly sold my Multimega when I was strapped for cash. Bought it at a boot sale for about a tenner though, so at least I made a profit.

I think I'll go for a Multi Mega more so than a Wondermega to be honest, I love the small form factor. I can't see many going for less than £250-£300, and most are unboxed. I guess I'll wait for the right one to show up, when I'm feeling flush enough.

Here's my latest stuff. I've only started buying again and have made a few changes to my initial plans.

I'm still going to prioritise Japanese games, but I'm not going to pay insane fucking prices if they are available elsewhere. Collecting Japanese only also means I wouldn't be able to have games like Psycho Pinball and Zombies Ate My Neighbours, which is clearly ridiculous.

Hard Corps and Bloodlines are obviously the actual stars of that show, but for me the absolute must-haves in that collection are Aeroblasters, Psycho Pinball and Puyo Puyo, all amazing games

Genuinely can't decide if I want to focus on getting a few more MD titles this holiday season instead of current gen stuff. :) While I enjoyed Bayo 1 as a experience I was pretty rubbish at it (combos). Smash handheld appears to have poor online and the less said about Sonic Boom the better (probably). Which for me just leaves Smash Wii U which with the GC controller bundle will be no doubt be £70-80, if not more. Worth it for a new lick of paint? Eh.

Edit: something something Pokemon something.

Sorry, blogging.

Next MD titles I'll be after are both EWJims and possibly a standalone Gunstar Heroes (probably painful). So far everything has been boxed with instructions (thanks initial bundle seller!) so I've been keeping it that way as I get more titles. Jurassic Park, Quackshot and Vectorman are also on the minds back burner. In order of most nostalgia from what I 'had', really. Sadly Sparkster will factor into that nostalgia at some point.

Can't wait to again fail miserably playing the raptor in JP. Probably still as confusing as I remember it. :)

You're a sub-par Rolling Thunder!

I really enjoyed it, I remember the PAL version being rather sluggish mind.

In other news, someone pulled out of selling me Gleylancer, so I've instead decided to spunk the money on ever more games. More pics soon.

Game Sack is a retro YouTube show, it's alright, just a couple of guys, not claiming to be experts just talking about retro games n stuff. I like it for what it is, and yes jokes and delivery is bad too but it's got an odd honest charm.

Not sure what game

I always thought Gleylancer was overrated for the price tag. I'd much prefer to play Gaiares, Thunder Force 3 or Air Buster.

Gaiares is great, with a really neat option/upgrade system, and well worth owning, but be warned that it is absolutely brutal. Aeroblasters/Air Buster remains my favourite scrolling shooter on the system (not least for its two-player), but Gaiares is safely locked into my collection too.
