Villa 0 - Arsenal 1

Close game with both sides having periods of domination. In the end, it was an unlucky deflection for the Villa defence which was the difference between the two teams.

Arsenal 0 - 1 Villa

See above. Another close game which was decided by one mistake in the defense department. To be fair, scoots goal was a bit more skilful than mine. Arsenal nearly salvaged something but saw the volley ricochet off the bar with just seconds left to play.

Good games mate. Very tight but exciting stuff. Good luck with the rest of the season.

bloody hell dude was shitin a brick in both games, as you both tight games with some terrible goals, but was 2 great battles cheers dude and good luck for the rest

Ah.. Looks like Villa got a warm up! As they just crucified Fulham. Back under the radar for us!

I had no answer to Scoots lineup, they killed me off.

Both games I was very quiet and in game two I got a red card in the rain which impacted things. Mind you.. I erm hit the crossbar..

Game one. Fulham 0 VIlla 3

Game two. Villa 6 Fulham 0 Yes. six..

Thanks for the games scoot they were tough!

think the FIFA gods was on my side tonite dude, you had me passin quick as hell coz of the constant closing down, had me worried in both games, just a couple of good breaks of the ball saw me through the first one, but the second one that red card I think killed it for yah dude, was findin space all over.

Cheers again chief, and good luck with the rest

Shalo 6-0 tommy

No chance in this game completely outplayed barley made any chances

Tommy 2-3 shalo

This was completely different game I felt robbed went 1-0 behind but pulled it back straight away, took the lead shortly after I have 20 minutes to hold on and cope with shalos pressure, he had all the possession but didn't really threaten the goal, but the scored with 5 minutes left, I thought I'd managed a point before last kick of the game but the computer controlled player made a challenge off his own back and gave away a pen, felt robbed not to have got summat out of this game.

Tommy 4 - 1 Al

This was a pretty one sided game as Monaco managed to take a half time lead and with shots 10 to 0 the Monaco keeper didnt have much to do, But Al stepped up a gear in the second half, created a couple of chances and scored a goal, but monaco was to strong for the wi Scottish team.

Al 2 - 3 TommyMAT

This started off the same as the first with TommyMAT taking a 2-0 lead, but Al pulled a couple of goals back in quick succession, it was a more entertaining game that the last alittle more end to end, Tommy got a 3rd around the 60m mark and for the rest of the game both teams had chances

Cheers for the game and chat Al all the best with the rest of the season

Good games Tommy, the second was a cracker and close right till the end but I couldn't quite get the breakthrough

All the best for the rest of the season

In other action:

Aberdeen (Al) 2 - 1 Galatasaray (TigerDave)

A stunning performance in the Scottish snow by Aberdeen gained them their first win of the season but it was hard fought to the end. McGinn opened the scoring with a near header at the near post early on and the Dons continued to create chanced with Magennis hitting the inside of the post twice before the Turks got level. The home fans were in dreamland soon after when McGinn broke free and with his shot bouncing off the keepers body and into the net. Magennis hit the inside of the post again before the end as Aberdeen played on the counter attack with Galatasaray pushing for another equaliser.

McGinniesta stuns big time Turks

Galatasaray 3 - 2 Aberdeen

Aberdeen looked like pulling off another shock in this one. The Turks took an early lead and had the most of the play but not long into the second half a stunning Barry Robson volley from a Hayes corner drew the Dons level. A quickfire break and dinked cross by Hayes found the head of McGinn who glanced a header past the keeper to give Aberdeen an unexpected lead. Galatasaray were soon level again but it was end to end stuff at this point with both teams pushing for more goals.

A slip up by the sluggish Dons defence cost them late on though, with Drogba making no mistake with a run and shot after Considine tripped over the ball.

Cheers for the games Dave, I was nicely warmed up after my games with Tommy but overall I think 3 points each was fair as you had me on the backfoot for most of the second match. All the best for the rest :)

Wow what a game, i cannot believe that i didnt score, I Hit the post 4 times, the tottenham keeper made 3 or 4 brilliant saves, It was exactly the same for Greeny tho and in the first half it looked like no matter what either team did there wasnt going to be any goals, But straight from kick off in the second half Greeny got the opening goal, No mater how many times i tried to get the game level the ball just didnt want to go in the spurs goal, Greeny doubled his lead and that sunk the french side and held out for a clean sheet

22.gifTommyMAT (2 - 1) Greeny 19.gif

This games was just the same but Monaco took an early lead before both sides hit the woodwork and missed countless chances, Monaco doubled the lead and looked like they were sailing to victory but Greenys men thought otherwise and pulled one back, after this they dominated possession and made it hard work for Tommy, But we held on,

Cheers for the games mate a win each was probably fair on the night, all the best with the rest of the season

Villa wasted a couple of good chances from memory, Porto scored 3 decent goals including this screamer! Which the Villa keeper was clearly in awe of. 5jmqn.gif

Away game was much tighter with Benteke missing a sitter of a header at the death.

Home game against harbey I scored a nice drilled strike at the edge of the box, some drama in my penalty box but luckily I didn't concede.

Away game with more drama in my box but this time I conceded a pen which harbey tucked away. Strangely I guessed the direction harbey was going for but my keeper stood statuesque. Later I equalised with a finesse shot at the edge of the box, pushed really hard for the winner but couldn't do it.

Cheers guys.

Aberdeen got off to a flyer in this one with Magennis knocking in a Pawlett cutback after a sweet through ball by McGinn set the speedy midfielder free. Disaster struck the Dons on 25 minutes though when the dangerous McGinn got a straight red for a mistimed challenge when trying to retrieve the ball in a scramble. Milan soon took over and were level shortly afterwards then doubled their lead midway through the second half.

With time running out and the Scottish side going all out to get back in the game they were punished late on when a referees advantage went Milans way and the big guns got their 3rd of the game

59.gifPeteBrant (1 - 0) AlfromSleep 750.gif

This game was pretty much all Milan with some heroic defending and goalkeeping preventing the Italian giants from getting the breakthrough. With time running out and The Dons looking like holiding on for a brave point, they were undone on the break with Balotelli taking advantage of knackered defenders before finishing.

Cheers for the games mate, I though I was doing well in the first game until the red card of my best player made it an uphill struggle! all the best for the rest of the season :)

Aye it killed the game off! You were in it until then, I could feel your deflation. It's weird cause I was gettin frustrated around that point and I seen you coming in to tackle me, so a spare of the moment decision to smack the ball off your player with the shoot button  Instead the ball flys towards goal and skids under your dopey keepers legs.

They were two really tough games. Man, you have got the best out of Aberdeen. Well played and you'll be flying high with a , shall we say, less deficient team next season.

Home game against Goaty I had a 3 goal lead but Fulham came into it after gettin a nice goal, couldn't seem to find that 4th goal and my keeper kept a couple of good strikes out.

Away game got a couple of lucky goals to start with, then scored some goals from distance/finesse and an acrobatic to make up for it.

Home game against Tommy I felt on fire, all sorts of chances and some nice goals to boot. Monaco scored from a corner but it wasn't enough to get back into the game.

Away game I got off to a flyer from a corner and a neat little cross/header, then a few passing mistakes crept into my game which led me to concede, after that Tommy attacked my goal big time and easily could've got a draw, I missed a couple of good chances too though.

Cheers guys

  • 2 weeks later...

Sorry to hear that Pete - I can be pretty flexible with our fixtures if it helps.

In other news... My Christmas fixtures have gone pretty well with really open games in the 3 sets of fixtures I've played. I can't really remember huge amounts about any of them other than they were all full of opportunities for both teams - is this a Fifa 14 trait?

Thanks to everyone for their efforts in making time over Christmas.

This is going swimmingly

Meanwhile I just had my league dosage of Tigerdave!

I really wasn't ready in the first as I knew what was on the way.... ;)

Galatasary won 6 nil at home with Drogba scoring 5 HEADERS. Yes..

Thankfully I pulled my pants up for game two

And we only lost Two nil at home! Phew

Thanks dave as always

Well played Goaty.Good games and I was pleased to emulate my heroes the mighty Tigers in re producing their 6-0 scoreline against Fulham.

Drogba seemed to be on fire in the first game but in the second game he was kept quiet until the 26th minute when his looping header beat the Fulham keeper.Yilmaz added a second in the second half but Fulham proved much harder to break down in this one.

Well done Goaty.Hope to see you next season if I get a PS4 in time!

So that's Shalo, Pete and Greeny pulled out? Anyone else before I start thinking how best to organise things?

Steohen129 you have quite a few games outstanding but most of them are with guys who are dropping out. Not long to go lads so the sooner you can get things wrapped up the better. Any problems please let me know.
