I played UC1, 2 & 3 through the collection last summer when they were given away for free, I've picked up the game that came after 4, but don't want to start it till I get hold of a cheap 4.

 

I never felt they needed more depth, you went in, killed enemies, followed the story and plodded through, picked up new weapons, I think if I had needed to find items, break things down, craft new items etc, I would have just ignored them if possible, or put the game down and walked away.

 

All 3 original games were played one after the other, no pallete cleansing inbetween, just when I had finished 1, I'd start the next one the following day, sometimes you can put too much into a game!

Well I really hope Sony embrace the PC. Its a good additional revenue stream for Sony for those who want to play the content but not buy a (low profit making for Sony) box. Surely a win/win for Sony? Especially when Sony hardware is hard to find.

Agree. Enjoyed 4 though as it kind of felt like playing Goonies for real...

On replays, I have to admit 4 has become my favourite. There's a huge amount of flexibility in the gun play...swinging around on ropes whilst shooting, punching and generally being terribly naughty is fantastic fun.

 

I also love the story too, and especially the story beats...the quieter moments are just thoroughly wonderful.

I absolutely adore Uncharted 4, and would dearly love a 60fps patch.

So how is the PS5 upgrade going to work for this and Lost Legacy? The collection is £49.99, but apparently I can get it for £10 if I own either 4 or Lost Legacy? Can I play both of them even if I only have one of those games? Annoyingly, I traded in Uncharted 4 a few months ago because I had it on PS Plus, but I’ve heard that doesn’t count when redeeming this upgrade, but I do have Lost Legacy on disc.

From the wording on the store, you only need to have one or the other to get both of them for the extra £10. 

 

But, I wouldn't put it past Sony to have fucked this up as well. 

 

Either way, until later this month you can't do any of that as they've locked it all up to upgrade until then. Which I assume is how they're tricking people into buying the sodding thing now at full whack because everyone's confused...

I agree that the gunplay in the PS4 games is way better than the PS3 games, as is the level design, but I also agree that the pacing hurts 4 and it's a bit too cheap on Crushing. The Lost Legacy doesn't have those problems and is my favourite UC.

Lost Legacy is basically Uncharted distilled.
 

The only downside is it does miss Drake and Sully.

I believe the performance mode will offer 4k and  60fps. There’s another mode that offers 120fps but at 1080p, and a quality mode that does…

 

At this point I have fuck all idea really.

 

I am genuinely baffled by Sony’s continuing quest to confuse the fuck out of me and make my head hurt.

 

I’ll be picking it up whatever, as they are wonderful, entertaining games though.

 

So, I’m a sucker as well!

The attached is what it says on the PS Blog.

 

Weird how it doesn't say what resolution the "Performance Mode" runs in. 

 

The PS Store listing though does say what resolution the "Performance Mode" runs in:

 

1440P upscaled to 4K (if you have a 4K screen) and 1440P super-sampled down to 1080P (if you have a 1080P screen).

 

So that's nice.

All this Last of Us talk and finishing LOU2 recently has made me think to go back and finish UC4, so I’ve paid the £10 upgrade having never played Lost Legacy and being about 60% through UC. Looking forward to getting back into it.

Finished this last night, really enjoyed it. Not sure why it didn’t click the first time I played it, perhaps it was just bad timing vs something else I’d recently played, I remember it feeling like a bit of a slog. The PS5 upgrade is lovely too, so that probably helped. I want UC5 now ☹️, at least I still have The Lost Legacy to play.

Lost Legacy pretty much IS UC5, and very probably the very best out of the whole bunch. 
It wa an absoute joy to replay the game looks unbelievably nice at 4K(ish) at 60 fps.

My favourite is still Uncharted 2. What they did with the PS3 to achieve was nothing short of incredible.
