The 1990s called, says it wants its "this person called" jokes back.

you know when you go through someones name history, and you're still none the wiser as to who they are?

  • 5 months later...

I'm thinking about playing this for a new stream later - i recall getting to chapter 10 or whatever, but i am going to start afresh as it was a while ago!

The big question is, should i just stick it on easy? i remember being told it flowed very well in that difficulty, especially when streaming. I would prefer to stick it on normal (like i did with the first 3 games) but ideally id like to get through it without any major difficulties.

Normal is not very hard, so I'd be surprised if you ran into too many sticking points -  the combat really sings on hard, but it is pretty tricky in places, so if you don't want too many restarts, then normal should be fine.

So i got to Chapter 7 (when you are escaping after collecting the cross) and I jumped, missed the wall and fell to my death. The game just kept reloading and killing me instantly several times. Restart checking didn't help either.

Thankfully restart encounter did. I shall continue another day, enjoying what I have played so far!

This game doesn't have too many of these glitchy moments though right?

Nah, you've been incredibly unlucky there. This is a highly polished game. I'm replaying this at the moment, on and off. It's still one of the best of this generation. Genuinely wonderful. .

Phew. I was so worried my game save was corrupt. It was a funny way to end the stream though

Yeah graphically it looks great. Amazing how far the graphics have come even from when i played the Uncharted collection a while back. Having a lot of fun with it ^_^

Is The Lost Legacy worth playing for someone who found Nadine and Chloe annoying?

It's easily one of the best Uncharteds. It has the strengths of 4 (like its more freeform combat system) but it's much better paced.

I don't dislike these characters though, so take that into consideration.

Ok, I'll give it a try, cheers. One more question sorry, is it as long as 4?  I don't want to Google it in case of spoilers.

No significantly shorter, which makes it a much tighter experience.

Its probably my favourite in the series, despite lacking Nathan.

Cheers, I got it on a borrow, the only cost of entry is time. In that case, I look forward to seeing them both scaling unfeasibly arduous cliffs before proferring witty rejoinders.

Lost Legacy is basically just more of 4, almost to a fault, but I enjoyed it quite a bit more. It's less self-indulgent, tighter, and the 'open world' section actually has genuine reasons to explore, which I felt they didn't really manage to pull off in 4.

Conversely, I like both Chloe and Nadine, but didn't like LL much. That open word part is bobbins. The only reason to explore is if you like collecting shit. Otherwise it's pointless. I found that whole area laborious. I also found the villain to be very weak.

That being said, I may just give it another shot once I'm done with my current replay of 4.

It’s my favorite too, really looking forward to replaying it in HDR as I’ve purchased a new TV since it’s release.
