If breaking up this series means that Micheal Mando, Peter Fabian and Tony Dalton can win twice the Emmy's for their performances then this break will have been justified.

 

Give them all the awards.

A bit late here, just caught up with the latest.

 

Has anybody said HOLY FUCKING SHIT yet?

 

This has been creeping up my list of best shows ever and think it’s just reached the top. Absolutely outstanding TV.

I know this is an annoying wait, but I like that I've had this suspense, and something to look forward to. If this season was dropped all at once, I would have watched it over a weekend, and it would have been done. Here am I pondering still, how it's going to end.

Decided to get back into this. The last thing I vividly remember is the season 3 finale so I'll start with S04E01 even though I know I've watched some of S04.

 

Or maybe I should start from the beginning hmmmm.

 

I don't suppose anyone know which episode starts with a pair of trainers hanging on a telephone wire? Was a good way to show off 4K and I wanna see it on my new TV.

Series 3 episode 3 might be that episode.

 

If you want to watch a really impressive 4k show, watch Godless on Netflix if you haven't seen it before. It's a brilliant short series.

Can I just say that this final series is also tinged with a little sadness for me? My dad loved this show, it was his absolute favourite, but he's now in a care home with dementia and parkinsons, long past the point where he can understand what's going on in any TV show. Parkinson's dementia is rapid in its onset, so if there hadn't been a bigger break before the final season (as well as the season before that), there's every chance he could have seen it before he lost the ability to do so. But now he never will. :(

Just watched latest episode.

Slightly surprised to see Lalo get taken out already.

 

And now any future BB rewatchs will be done knowing him and Howard are under the floor of the lab.

 

I guess if they were uncovered after Jessie and Walt blow it up after they kill Gis then it would have happened during BB timeline and not after?

Looking forward to this, I binged Breaking Bad (never watched it before) then went straight into Saul and watched that right up until a few weeks ago, then had to wait for it to come back.

Loved all of it, it was pretty cool to go straight from BB into this, sort of glad I waited and watched them like that, was almost like one massive series, albeit one with a massive tonal shift in the middle.

Very sad for Howard, still. And like said, knowing he's under the lab, with Lalo... :(

 

Very true, that Kim is the only character left whose future use unclear.

 

I'm really pleased that they're making the last few episodes about Kim and Saul though. Should be cracking.

The bit at the beginning, where Jimmy told Lalo to get Kim to carry out the hit instead of him, I actually gasped, ha! At the time I was thinking, "This is it, this is the point where she leaves him," but then later she tells Gus that Jimmy only said that to Lalo to get her out of the room. I can't say I'm too sure on that one, though, and the way she gives him the silent treatment at the end of the episode was pretty telling...

 

Now that Lalo is out of the way, I guess we're free to just concentrate on Kim and Jimmy, and their relationship unravelling. I was quite surprised they killed him off so soon after the break.

 

Anyway, is it five more episodes to go after tonight's? I'm hoping that

at least two of those will show Jimmy in the present day, after the events of BB, with karma catching up to him.

 

Man. What a show.

Really surprised to see Lalo wrapped up already, I was totally expecting that to be the big finale. The lab has taken on a much sadder meaning going forward knowing Howard is buried under there with his murderer.

That episode just hit the ground running and thundered along! One thing struck me when watching:

Near the end when Mike was telling Jimmy and Kimmy their cover story, the bedroom seemed unusually massive, the ceilings looked about 10 foot high and Mike seemed the size of a child when going out the door. I wonder if this was deliberate to make them all look small and defeated or maybe I'm just imagining things.
