I helped fund this and the alpha is out now.

Now available on steam http://store.steampowered.com/app/242880/?snr=1_7_15__13 (though us funders don't have steam keys yet :( )

It is wrote by some of the RPS dudes so there is good (and totaly unbiased) coverage over there.

From what I read on RPS is sounds like a more PvE DayZ with procedurally generated terrain?

Kind of.

I've only played about 20 minutes of it so far. I know it's an early alpha release (or whatever they want to call it) but it does feel slightly lacking right now. Definitely has lots of potential to be something great though.

I backed it too, had a very brief runabout last night and it was about what I was expecting, nice and bleak. Looking forward to getting more into it and seeing how much variety of approach you can do. I always kinda wanted to play Stalker as someone who mostly runs away and hides so this sounds right up my street.

I was really interested in it just seeing written stuff about it and a few dev videos - it seems like my sort of game, a wilderness survival full stealth roguelike thing? Sign me up.

But then Idle Thumbs did a stream on it and it did seem a bit basic. Obviously that was alpha, but seeing the sort of budget they're working with (there's no building interiors, for example) I don't expect it to change dramatically. If I bought it I reckon I'd spend a few hours with it, get bored and never finish it.

I will still play Stalker! I have got it and Clear Sky.

Sir is still alpha so there's plenty to go, they've added quite a few enemy types and ways to deal with them but I guess interiors is only going to happen if it gets a sequel. I like the different biomes too. I suppose the theme they've gone for does lend itself to emptiness. No hopping in tractors etc for a drive.
