Premier League Predictions 2013-14: Results on page 2

Recommended Posts

Doing this last season was quite good fun, anyone up for it again? Try to predict the final table. For each team, you get 1 point for each place you were wrong by. Least number of points wins. No prizes, just for fun.

Deadline is first kickoff on first day of the Premier League (17th August). Post your table, 1-20, in this thread. Feel free to edit before the deadline.

Maybe... might edit this later... kind of want to swap Liverpool and Man United around... but that's just wishful thinking... hell, even Liverpool at 5 is wishful thinking.

Could be way off this time as I found it hard to call the 10-17 places. This'll be the first season all three promoted clubs go straight back down.

I'd like to see Chelsea win it but I think Dzeko is going to have an incredible season.

Not sure about Swansea because i think they can get to quarter final/semi final of the Europa League. Southampton and Liverpool will definitely not be in it, according to their managers.

Might edit depending on what transfers happen before the season starts. Some solid buys from United or Arsenal, or Bale going, could change it around a bit.

Currently proceeding on the assumption that Bale will go, but Suarez and Rooney will stay where they are, and Arsenal make a decent signing or two (not a top class striker). From 12th onwards I'm pretty much pulling these out of my arse, will edit later.

Surprised how few of you have the two Manchester clubs at the top. Pretty much everyone has Swansea doing well, didn't they go off the boil a bit towards the end of the last season? Bony looks pretty good though.

I think it's possibly how comparatively weak United's squad is, especially compared to Chelsea's, and without Ferguson there it's hard to imagine Moyes, talented he may be, doing as well as Ferguson with what is more or less the same squad. Chelsea's squad is undeniably talented, and with the positivity everyone feels for Mourinho there, as well as him being a not too shabby manager, makes me think they'll hit the ground running and just keep going.

They still don't really have a reliable striker, anything resembling a deep-lying playmaker, and I'm not really convinced by Luiz and Cahill as a partnership. Sure, they have an overabundance of creative talent in their squad, but I don't think that alone can win you titles. Of course United really need another midfielder or two, but that aside I wouldn't say we're deficient in any area by comparison.

Ivanovic is solid, Terry is also there. Lukaku is a beast, I can see him doing well - but 433 it won't really matter.

I think United could end up third or fourth, depends if we sign that midfielder. I'm loving these new quick players that have come in though, Zaha and Januzaj are awesome, Lingard is extremely promising in the same way that Hernandez was.

With Arsenal and United leaving it late with their signings the top 4 is very hard to guess this year. I went with Spurs for fourth because they've already made some great signings, which ought to make them a serious attacking threat even without Bale. With the absence of a prolific CF they were over-reliant on him last season, but Soldado changes all that. Can easily see him getting 20-25 goals.
