Yeah, you should be able to run it. I have an i7 2670QM, 4gb RAM and a GT 540M and I can run it on high laptop settings.

That's good to hear. And yeah, I bought an Alienware so that I could upgrade the GPU and CPU. I have a new GPU lined up but just need to get my finances straight first.

So I got my scholar soul last night and have a little faerie called Selene following me round

I ran a couple of low levels dungeons as scholar-healer (just to help out those poor dps guys queueing) and I didn't have to do a thing healing wise, Selene had it locked down.

Still loving this, the only small issue i've run into is the lack of quests once you've started your 4th/5th combat class, it doesn't take too long to get to 15 but anything after that might be a struggle.

Yep just tried logging in and no joy, currently on 4th day in a row with no access. Currently either the start button does not light up, or I have no characters or servers appear.

Keep reminding myself to give them time, but am getting very frustrated with the no AFK kicking policy. The servers are full of people not playing but refusing to log out as they won't get back in a thus a self fulfilling prophecy.

As for guild name I'm Soo Denim.

Really getting pissed off with Gil sellers now. Added five to the ignore list (and THAT could be made a Hell of a lot more intuitive) already today. it's made doubly worse by the fact that it's five spaces that should be going to people who want to play the game.

This is all partially redeemed by my Weaver Guildmaster telling me after a quest to make a top for a not very nice man, that my work was so good that "when I saw that little turd saunter out, I almost thought he was a Gladiator"

Not to piss on anyones parade but what will adding more servers do for me (us) on Moogle? Players have created their characters, joined a linkshell and/or a Free Company and probably reached a high enough level to not wanting starting over.

Mid September there is a server transfer planned but I feel that will be surrounded by restrictions. I'd be happy if they just sort the queue system out. Tell me I am number 30 in line and the waiting time is one hour.

One of the early gladiator quests tasks you with going round telling a load of marauder bullies to get lost and stop hassling people (cus gladiator > marauder, obvs) and one of the marauders, who is picking on a lalafell, goes 'alright, alright. It's not my fault the little shite has pissed his pants!'.

I've also noticed a few uses of 'shite', 'bugger' and 'bastard'.

This is really beginning to get silly now, I've been trying since 10 AM to get on with no luck, almost exclusively just hitting start and my characters name, I've been put in a queue and dropped out of it 5 times now, slowly becoming one of the most embarrassing launches I've seen.

Marauder is the great axe one, gladiator is sword and shield. They're both tanks (Mara is avoidance and health regen, glad is mitigation through block, parry and defense), with mara being higher damage and better aoe tanking and glad having higher health and better single target.

Marauder, theyre quite fun actually

Marauders have some great animations - one in particular kicks up particle effects based on what you're standing on, so it could be clouds of dust, blades of grass or drops of water. A lovely touch. Gladiator skills, in comparison, are a bit dull, although I love the captain America shield toss one.

Thanks guys - Marauder sounds fun. I'll add it to my ever increasing list of classes to level. Are they heavy armour wearers too? I basically just want to do the /visor emote.
