First information - I imagine we'll see a trailer soon if the movie is out in January -

Liam Neeson is returning as Bryan Mills in Taken 3 on January 9 and the first photos (via USA Today) have come online as we await the first trailer for the sequel.

In the new installment, Mills becomes the hunted prey after he's framed for the murder of someone close to him.

"I have to go on the run, I'll put it that way, from the not-so-lawful types and the lawful authorities," says Neeson. "Bryan Mills served his country faithfully, but now even they are after him. They must not like me."

Famke Janssen, Maggie Grace and Forest Whitaker co-star in the Olivier Megaton-directed thriller.

Even Unknown, at least towards the end when...

he remembers he's not just a normal guy, but an assassin with a particular set of skills that he's acquired over a very long career, skills that make him a nightmare for people like that guy who's not the guy from 1980s police comedy, Sledge Hammer!, but just looks a bit like him, now that he's older, and not being a "heart throb" in shit Madonna movies.

I saw A Walk Among the Tombstones on Tuesday accompanied by my friend who is a huge lawrence Block fan. He thought it did the book justice and was certainly a lot better than Eight Million Ways to Die.

To the uninitiated (i.e. me), it just looks like another Liam Neeson action thing where he punches and shoots people although this time it's at least set in the US rather than in evil Europe.

I did like the fact that they managed to make sympathetic characters out of drug dealers.
