Even Peter Walton thinks it's a red.

This is when you know they've fucked it.

Its absolutely baffling how they see nothing wrong with that challenge. If the ball hadn't gone in the net it'd be a red and penalty but us scoring doesn't mean the challenge should be ignored

It’s alright, Mike Dean will come out and apologise like he did to Everton for not giving them a penalty Vs Man City.

_________

Shame for Lallana that :(

That was brilliant from Alisson

Fantastic awareness. Considering he’s barely had a thing to do speaks volumes for his concentration levels.

Was it against Brighton he got sent off for handling outside the box? So to risk it even if impressive

I think it was Brighton who actually once got a penalty against for a tackle that was deemed to be inside the box because the player's foot was touching the outside of the line? Looked to me like the ball remained in the box, so those who live by the sword can't moan when they die by it.

Yep, much more comfortable than I anticipated. Good to break that run of three games without a win against Brighton.

Should have been more and should have been against 10 men. Still bemused at the Sanchez decision to be honest. Just glad Diaz got away unscathed as he’s been brilliant since he arrived.

Everton are getting relegated unless another team contrive to be even worse than them.

Should never have sacked Benitez, I thought he was doing a good job under the circumstances and was never looking like getting relegated.

Showing him support by allowing their best player to leave because he fell out with Benitez/doesn’t fit the system then sacking him the following week has to go down as one of the most baffling decisions the ownership has taken. To follow that up by hiring Lampard who is a fraction of the manager Benitez is, then bringing in Alli/VDB who are both shot of confidence. Been free falling ever since.

Michael Edwards selling Conor Coady to Wolves so he could one day score to send the Ev closer to the bottom three is some 9D chess.

Leeds 2-1 Norwich

Southampton 1-2 Watford

This feels like 2018/19 again in that we basically need to win every game - and when you've got 3 of the top 5 still to play and City only have us, then it would take one hell of an effort. I'm not saying it can't be done - we know this team can go on long winning runs like the 8 in a row so far - but unless we beat City then we still need them to drop points, and, even in spite of tonight, you wouldn't bet on that happening (m)any times again.

Nice to still have the hope though, it's a massive 2 months to go (in all three competitions).
