Reminder - NO pundits predicted this Liverpool team can win the Premier League. This team, which absolutely steamrolled the rest just 2 years ago, and has added Konate, Jota, and Thiago since then. Why bring this up? Because watching that felt like watching them, something I hardly ever got to say last season.

I thought the midfield today was fine, without being spectacular, but everyone else was great today. We've not had much chance to see Tsimikas prior to today, but aside from him falling asleep and conceding possession cheaply late on, he did a pretty good Robertson impression.

Not sure how it looked on tv but i didnt think Liverpool looked fully at it but good win and point on the board is all that matters. Away fans were great after you scored, packed away end and some good singing!! From my perspective your front line looked good but defensively pretty poor - poor finishing and open goal miss for the clean sheet rather than a solid display.

Nah, Norwich got in behind the defence on a number of teams but (thankfully) lacked the quality to punish us. Whilst we were ultimately quite comfortable (that Allison double-save was the only thing he did), it was a professional performance rather than dazzling.

 

Points on the board though and a clean sheet is all that matters right now, but I do think the lack of squad depth and quality outside the first 11 will tell over the course of the season.

Decent bench that even without Thiago, Henderson and Robertson available.

 

Today looked like a friendly match to me.  Quite slow, players didn't look as fit as they should/will be but we never looked particularly troubled.  Great to see VVD pinging those 40 yard cross field balls again!!

Decent peformance, Norwich had chances but did not convert. I was worried about the midfield of Keita, Ox & Milner they had an ok game but nothing creative going forward. It was good to see our fullbacks get higher up the field and make crosses.
