4-1 if you include the last kick of the game where Mane had all the time in the world to pick his spot or pass to Shaqiri I think for an open goal and instead hit it straight at the goalkeeper.

I've just watched the highlights on the Sky YouTube channel and for the disallowed goal Carragher questioned whether it was onside because Cash made an effort to play the ball (following the Man City incident also ironically against Villa). Should the goal not have stood on that basis?

It is going to be up/down the table for the rest of the season hoping we can get 4th. Looking ahead to the summer where does everyone think we need to strengthen?

Maybe a creative midfielder or another attacker & Bobby could drop back into midfield?

1 of each central defence, midfield and number 9. The wide attacking positions aren't a concern unless Salah or Mane leave but Firmino definitely needs help.

 

With Wijnaldum leaving they need to replace him, despite the glimpses it's clear Keita isn't able to stay fit for long enough. Henderson is getting older and Milner is old.

 

Van Dijk returning might not be as simple as slotting straight back in after many players with long lay offs end up getting niggles for a while after. Gomez and Matip are made of rice paper. Kabak seems ok but can't really tell too much playing at the back with Phillips in a team struggling. So there is definitely a need to look at a central defender who has experience.

I don't think any of the front three will leave, Jota is a great option to have up front & I'm assuming we keep Shaqiri. We also will have returning from loan Minamino but it seems to be taking him a while to adjust to the Premier League. Another quality option like Jota would be great.

We have to let Keita go, he has had his time and I don't see anything. Curtis Jones is better than him. Back from loan would like to see more of Harvey Elliot. I expect a fully fit midfiled will be see Hendo, Faby & Thiago starting. Hopefully we can get someone who has the creativity we sometimes need when our fullbacks cannot get forward.

Hopefully we will sign Kabak he seems ok but obviously needs to develop, so yes an experienced option would be great but don't think we will have much of a transfer fund this season with no gate reciepts.

I haven't seen much of him, but has Kabak actually shown he has the attributes to become good enough to be a starter in the team? Because if not I wouldn't buy him for the sake of it, I would invest elsewhere.

I don't think Kabak has.  I would be looking for someone better if possible.  He's pretty slow too.

 

We need a Bobby replacement, a centre back and sell Keita, Origi and Shaq. Maybe then bring in a midfielder if Gini goes.  We will miss him badly.
